Hey guys,

Just want to share my amazing day. I am a domain seller on ebay .com, my average domain selling rate is almost $80-$100 per domain but this Sunday one of my domain name "Search Matrimonial.com" was sold for $2739. Till Friday morning last week it was on $0.99 (i start my auction with this price) and finally one of the bidder took it for $2K...Wow, well, my average weeks are almost $200 in profits selling 4 domains. So, on the suggestion of my bro, i decided to start writing ebook on all knowledge that i have regarding domain selling on ebay.com. I am planning it to make membership site so, even i need some experienced partner because it's better to work together and believe me i know so many things in this field that together we can create a BIG product...

Please share your views about "Membership Site" idea, which can provide important information like trends, average Cost of domain, how to sell etc..

Cool man I've sold quite a few domains on ebay as well, and that is a damn good name. Congrats on the sale, and stick around here you will make a lot more than $2k.

Im a domain seller as well, and to be honest Im really suprised that the name went for that much. I have to digress and say its not that great of a name.

I am a domain junky myself. Good job in the sale. The reason for the good sale is because it is a dictionary domain.

Guys you are not reading this post very well, as did the buyer of the domain. He didnt own Matrimonial.com he owns searchmatrimonial.com. Your buyer is going to be pissed! Trust me I know what Im talking about I own over 800 domains and my highest sale ever was a comfortable 5 figures. You may have even broke ebay TOS with that picture because it misleads the buyer........

Thanks David. Portillo, it was clearly mentioned in the Auction Listing Page that this is Search Matrimonial.com. So, he is not gonna get pissed. Even before that i got Offer for $500 instant BIN price. You can read the complete auction here:-

Yeah carson you got those bids because you put a picture that says matrimonial.com, I promise you, you broke TOS, but whatever you can be a noob and argue with me all you want. When your buyer files a dispute let me know. You cant mention it in the listing as Search Matrimonial.com, thats misleading, there is no space in a domain name......

Hey guys,

well, first from the winner bidder i got PM on my ebay as he was ready to pay FLAT $500 for search matrimonial.com, and as he already made the payment so there re no issues regarding frauds. I sell my every domain like this and i have 100% positive feedback. Anyways, whatever it is, i have $2k in my account and everything is fine.

Trust me unless you just bought your own domain, you will have issues in the morning. And why would the guy offer to pay 1K for a auction priced at 2k+? You are starting to not make very good sense. Please clarify.........And like IZM said your listings are fake....

It's dictionary word dot com. Those usually go for a good bit based on the name, but i think some people might be interested on the business end of this(selling wedding accessories, planning weddings, etc) Nevertheless a wise choice to sell it on ebay, there are people bidding really high on shitty names there. But also if you look in the domains-->other category you can get some real steals. I picked up a dot tv name in the other category for $140 and flipped it for around $600 in the same week on dnforum.

Whisker, I am a professional domain seller and buyer, Im trying not to give too much info on myself away but your argument doesnt make sense. Sure matrimonial is a dictionary word, but what does that have to do with SearchMatrimonial.com? If I had a domain like webuyalotofcars.com, would you say it could sell pretty well because cars is a dictionary word? Its just flat out not a good name, and Ill stake my reputation on that statement hands down

Hey portillo you may be right and i am wrong and yes, i am also not 'Professional' domain seller, i just sell them part time. My sole purpose here is to share my first $2K with BHW members. If the winning bidder ever ask for refund, i will gladly give him and definitely inform you and yup, i would love to have some more tips from you in future regarding domains.

Portillo I actually missed that detail when skimming down. Now that I am aware that it is searchmatrimonial.com I surely retract that it is a quality name.

I would not label myself as 'professional' cause I think that is kinda self-appointed in some sense, but I yea I agree with you are sayin 100%. You don't need to stake your rep on it.
