Hi guys last week I got issue with Google IP4 shit message that's ask me to do CAPTCHA for every search I do ,
So I decided to change my search engine to Yandex ( as I already test Yahoo and bing before )
Yandex search result weren't that accurate as I expect and they didn't have big archive you find with G , but it result were really helping for me finding what I searching for .
yeah their engine not smart as G but they have good side not sandboxing the hell all new site on the world , I visit bunch of new site that's you will never find on G top 50 .
Peace .

i'm a fan. using their mail and analytics (metrica) solution for over a year with no complaints.

I've actually been using both Google and Yandex together for several years now.

I use Google for my general search queries in English. These make up roughly 90% of my overall searches. However, while Google (usually) displays pretty good results in English, I've found that the results for my search queries in Russian are just plain awful most of the time. This is where Yandex really shines, especially when misspellings are concerned.

For instance, let's say I'm searching for, I don't know, "Зонтик для коктейля" (cocktail umbrellas), but I misspell "Зонтик" as "Жонтик" like a clown. Take a look at the Google search results for the query below:

What am I going to do with those results? It doesn't even inform me that I misspelt "umbrella".

Now, look what happens when I search for the misspelt query on Yandex.

Look at all of those beautiful results!

Before you say "Well, you didn't misspell it on Yandex", that's because Yandex AUTO-CORRECTED IT. It even tells me it fixed the typo (Исправлена опечатка «жонтик для коктейля»)!

If only they improved their browser. IDK why they are marketing it to the english speaking market while having the english market features messed up. All they have to do is to allow you to change the yandex search from yandex.ru to yandex.com and the option to translate pages into english.

Yandex search is great I think in the near future they'll take more business from Google. G is very annoying with their captcha, don't have that much of a patience.

Alright I get back to my old ADSL line and CAPTCHA issue gone , bu I will use Yandex for bit longer to see how it's goes .
I done many test to compare it to G all I say they have diffrent result and ranking and they surprise me sometime with un expected result (bad or good ) .
You know G had being banning site like crazy and surlly they're Sandboxing many legit sites .

When the people's opinions on Russian based companies and services improves they could have a good shot at taking away from google. The name is nice, short and easy to remember. The website is already very clean compared to others but it needs just a few tweaks to make it slightly cleaner.

I went to yandex.com from the us, there is no logically reason to take up the space to offer other editions to use. If I was from Russia or Ukraine while on holiday in the states I would be typing yandex.ru or yandex.ua anyway same with the other nations listed. There is no point of offering Mail when I am already logged in and could just click the mail button. The browser is also not even working fully for English, so at this point its not even worth it to add it there. It really should just be super clean to not clutter people and extract as much speed as possible.

This is an example of what they are probably going to need to get to, ofc with the search section slightly higher
