I will preface this by saying F-U Ebay!

I knew it was going downhill for sellers when they stopped letting sellers leave negative feedback. At least half of the idiot buyers on ebay are looking for the deal of a lifetime, since, obviously, the internet is where your actually going to find it. Idiots.

Now, with no fear of retribution for moronic behavior, the buyer has absolutely no motivation to leave ANY feedback at all. Since the application of this policy, my sales to feedback ratio has dropped from about 70% to uh-oh...wait....12%.

It used to be a give-give type relationship between buyers and sellers, but now buyers act as if they are buying from a website instead of an actual person. Previously, I would post a "fast payment, professional...blah blah" type feedback, knowing that they would give me a positive in return. Those days are over.

Ebay did this to attract buyers, not sellers. They could have millions of sellers, but what is the point if nobody feels secure buying? I understand the business "idea," but what is the point if they alienate all the sellers to the point where we say we've had it?

I can't wait until the day Egay's greed gets the best of them and they crash. Eventually someone with a better plan will come along and know them off their online selling pedestal.

FeeGay was much better when it was a community. A community of buyers and sellers who were serious about taking care of each other. Now it is so one sided, they might as well call themselves amazon.

I could go all day, but my biggest peeve is that buyers no longer seem to leave feedback.

On a side note, I laughed my ass off when that dude tried to nuke their headquarters. Hell, I'm cracking a smile now haha. Dude was nuts, but I see why now lol.

I can go on and on, but let's discuss. Did your feedback to sale ration drop also?

Not only did my feedback decrease, but the amount of non-paying bidders INCREASED.

Yeh it sucks imo. I do hope they crash and burn sometime! Just need someone to come along and make a decent replacement..

OP i feel your pain, Ebay for me is a love-hate relationship. I make decent money on there but i run multiple stealth accounts. I recently had a buyer, that from the start he was going to fuck me on an item. I did not even try to fight it because i knew ebay would side with the buyer. Full refund issued and no item returned. Its the nature of the beast. Egay is nothing more then a numbers game. Run multiple accounts so you can always be moving something atleast. As far as the negative feedback for buyers goes. I actually called egay awhile back and they told me... and i quote "without buyers there would be no ebay" I LOL"D

I feel you completely. Absolutely ridiculous. Clearly a buyer oriented market in which ebay profits the most and sellers get screwed out of everything and are left open to fraud all day long. As sellers we can expect nothing but continued final value fees and ridiculous policy changes.

its right and when a buyer does this, its so much frustrating! One of my buyer told me the item has fault and asked us to send alternative parts, I sent new alternative parts by speed post with tracking for free. He got it and then told he wants to return the item for refund, asked me return address. I told him the address. Suddenly i found he filed item not as described case, ebay notified me, i replied on the case, next ebay again sent me message asking where to send the return, I sent ebay the same address and surprisingly the next morning I found ebay issued a full refund to the buyer. I went for live chat but the CSR told as this was a item not as described case so we wont consider the return process, we can just refund as its not as described. They asked me to tell buyer to file another case for return. Buyer never replied me anymore--or why should he? he got the full refund
The final thing I received next day was a negative feedback with much frustrating comment from the buyer! i was not able to do anything, I lost the item and the money! WHAT A JOKE FOR THE POOR SELLER!!!!!!!!!!!

Thats crazy! Have you added buyer requirements/filters? I hope you at least made sure they got an unpaid item strike.

I need to get the ebay stealth book. I know where to buy verified ebay and paypal accounts, I just want to make sure I know how to get away with it. "without buyers there would be no ebay" I figured that was their attitude.

I think some of these buyers intend to be pricks right from the beginning. When thy ask questions like "as long as it's perfect" or ask things that are clearly answered in the listing, I block them. They try to get a dialouge going before purchase to use as "evidence" for item not described disputes.

More buyers and fewer sellers is good for us. It means less competition. Practically speaking, the only reason feedback matters is for buyers to make sure that you aren't going to send them a shoddy product. As long as the buyers who do leave feedback leave positive feedback, who cares how many of them do?

i hate ebay. among my stories....

1. buyer tells me that the dvds i sent didnt work and wanted a refund. i told her i was sorry, asked her to return it for an exchange. she said the problem was when she initially tried to contact me, somehow ebay sent her to another seller. that seller told her it was ok she could throw them away and he would send her another. dealer realized she wasnt her client so backed out. then she contacted me offering to show me emails that she was talking to the wrong person. she filed a claim, won, got a refund without having to return anything.

2. another buyer buys dvds from me. after getting them, she says the dvds are broke and wants a refund. i look her up and it turns out she bought the same dvds from someone else, but for $20 cheaper. i call bs, she wins the case. i tried to prove a point to ebay. i get the package back, film me opening the package which contained the dvds which were still sealed. i send the video to ebay and appeal the decision. she still wins

i really hate ebay

just accept you will never win any dispute (ebay or paypal), that way if one ever goes your way you can celebrate

The market always finds a way to correct itself, ahhh...Adam Smith. Think about it when you're ranting.

we was so fed up with ebay and there fees we set up a new 100% totally free to register, sell etc even featured listings are free check it out bid46

eBay has been going down hill from the good ol' days. It's a buyers website now, it's so hard to be a seller on there with the high fees unless your profit margin is high. They always side with the buyer, you're really always only one sale away from getting f*cked over at any time.

That's why in the long run, your own e-commerce store is the best setup

I got a negative feedback from a buyer that said the two headphones he bought broke! I don't even sell headphones, searched the buyer's history and this person should have commented on another recent auction. So, it was a mistake. They won't assist correcting it with the negative feedback revision request. I have over a thousand feedbacks, so it's a tiny dent but still, I hate negative feedbacks especially if I were wrongly accused.

And that's the worst part, unless you have been with eBay for years and you have been legit you won't be able to get them to change anything via phone.

I love and hate egay.
My solution is "more account more money"
