I’ve recently started learning SEO and one thing I understand is that relevance matters more than quantity. Links from niche-related "sites and helpful content seem more effective. Clear structure and intent "focused writing also improve overall quality. I am still learning and would appreciate tips from experienced members.

Today, SEO is less about volume and more about relevance, intent, and usefulness. A few niche relevant links plus clear, intent focused content usually work better than mass backlinks. Also remember that user value is what Google measures most now.
 
When you have too many pages on one website, Google tends to dilute the strength of those pages, eg. website with 10 pages - these pages will have higher rank than if the website had 1000 pages. Of course if you have a high DR domain (like BHW), you can still have many pages and rank well.
 
Good that you figured this out early, most people spam 500 garbage links before they realize.
Now stop reading and go rank something, even a test site.
You learn more from breaking stuff than from BHW threads.

You're definitely on the right track. Knowing what relevance and intent are early on puts you ahead of a lot of other newcomers. Keep working on the basics, testing what you learn, and looking at examples from the actual world. Your abilities will get better faster than you think if you keep doing the same things and are open to feedback.
