First thing that struck me as well. There is absolutely no reason why anyone would want to take the time to encapsulate a pdf file into an exe file. None, zero, zilch. That is of course unless there was some gain on his behalf.

Even the OP mentioned how many people had downloaded it. If I was giving something away for free I could care less about such and the email link.

Why this post is here remains a mystery!

What a bunch of assholes. Let's get it really straight, I sell the book for $14.95 and use http://productpadlock.com to protect ALL my products from being shared. So product padlock makes it into an exe file so each and every single copy of the book has its own license code.

Now, from the 200+ people that downloaded the ebook in exe file from this forum not one complained.

I don't have the time to cater to your needs by uploading to rapidshare etc, I have a business to run.

I decided to give you something free and that still works for me. Either use or just keep walking.

Now, with a slight twist to the method you can easily make $5,000+ a month from adult friend finder but I guess you want me to give you that secret too... yeah right!

Guys, if you don't like something, just don't use it. No need to complain about stuff contributed by a member in good standing, and of course noone is forcing you to download it and run it.

OTOH I think its very understandable that people are a bit uncomfortable executing some executable downloaded from the web. They've been known to cause damage, y'know?

So everyone needs to make their own decision about the risk/reward factor they're willing to live with. TANSTAAFL, get over the 'free uber alles' attitude, it's not gonna do you any good.

If you're going to offer an e-book, provide PDF or nothing. I dont want to worry about another exe on my computer
