I have this idea on Drop shipping and am already considering to begin the development soonest. I know there are lots of business opportunities on Drop shipping and I want to build one which would be very profitable and interesting.
I want to develop a platform where a user would just register on the site, connects domain and he can simply choose from several templates and just set prices to make profits from his custom site (Shopify standard) . There is no need to look for which manufacturer for a product and all of that, everything is customized even the brand also. The user would be able to monitor everything happening from his website and orders delivered, cancelled, returned and the rest.
All the user need is a domain to point to his store, every other thing is set. Templates, hosting, contents, products, e.t.c
I already have this model working for SMS reselling, where a user don't need to write one line of code before you can resell, and you don't need to buy SMS unit before you can resell from your site. This business already generates about $20k in Profits Monthly and I know this model is very profitable.
I haven't managed any drop shipping site before that's why I would need lots of advices and guides by experts from this forum and possibly partner with very knowledgeable users later when the development begins.
My major issue now is;
1) I need to get stocks in very cheap prices else users might not be very interested in reselling from your Drop shipping platform. For my SMS site, i go every length in making sure i get the cheapest prices so that resellers would make profit, there are resellers who are making lots of profits even 2 times more than my own profit per sms and this gives me lots of joy cos they are able to make enough profit to keep using the site
2) Chargebacks & Returns: This is the most scary part of the business, even when you try to avoid this, this cannot be totally avoided as I have learnt. I also want to ask the best way to reduce chargebacks and returns to the barest minimum.
My major worry is number 1, we want to be able to cover so many type of stocks; like Electronics, Fashion, raw materials, Agricultural products, consumables and so many. I want the user to be able to select from numerous categories to sell, I really want it to be very comprehensive with lots of options.
Your little note or advice would go a very long way.
