I just bought a domain with One . com set it up and stuff, and created a wordpress blog within the control panel.

The thing is that when I enter it like this "example.com" it works, but when I do it like "www.example.com" it does not. Google just pops up and says 404 The requested URL was not found on this server.

I checked my DNS and everything seems to be all right.

Does anybody here have domains with One . com? Did anyone experience this?

Probably there are more easier solutions but I know this one that I consider pretty easy

    Code:
     RewriteEngine On
    RewriteBase /
    RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^www\.(.*)$ [NC]
    RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://%1/$1 [R=301,L]

copy paste this into your .htaccess file and everything will work fine.

Managed to fix it, now, I got another problem, did a clean install of wordpress again and it gives me this, which cant be right since I did not add anything besides /wp-admin ERROR: $table_prefix in wp-config.php can only contain numbers, letters, and underscores.

When you install wordpress, you determine the prefix for tables. Did you leave it blank and add just a space? Bad design on WP part if they let you submit like that, but possible tables now start with a space.

Since you reinstalled WP, do it again only make sure you specify letters for the table prefix.

I fixed it by downloading the wp_config file to my computer and found out that between wp and admin was a lot of commas, deleted those, everything is working fine now.

Thanks a lot for your comments.

    Good for you. :)

Nothing more frustrating than a down site that has a technical issue you can't figure out. Glad you figured it out.
