My dilemma

So i am teaching myself to program, and these are the books I am using.

These are the books I already completed this year.
Head first html and css
headfirst javascript
headfirst html5 programming

Now these are the books that I am planning on going threw for the rest of the year.
for c# its
Headfirst c#
C# 4.0 in a nutshell
Pro C# 5.0 and the .net 4.5 framework
Expert C#5.0 with the .net 4.5 framework

than for php its
Head first php and Mysql
PHP objects, Patterns and practice
Advanced PhP programming
PHP architect's guide to enterprise PHP development

I already downloaded all of the books, buying it is a suckers game

but I also have a problem, I am currently in university third year, but I am planning on failing 4 subjects so that I can allocate my time to programming, so that I can build up a base, than continue with the 4 subjects I failed the next year, and than hopefully push threw to a advanced degree, while i develope sites as a way to make money, but when I told my friend this plan he told me I am crazy, honestly I think I am a bit crazy but what do you guys think? ie, my family don't know that i am planning this, and they pay my university fees

Just follow your heart and do not let others stop you is my advice to you.

Just do what you love! If its your full love, then try dropping out from college.

Trust me, miracles happen only if human beings do what they love.

The fact that you are planning this while someone else is footing the bill really does say a lot about you as a person. If you are paying for your course, feel free to re-arrange and drop out of things how you like. But at the end of the day, if your parents are paying for you to be there then you should honor that - not everyone is as fortunate as you to be able to have their university fees paid for. You can learn programming in your spare time, you have the rest of your life ahead of you, don't let your parents down and don't let yourself down for the sake of getting a 6 month head start on c#..

Why dont you study programming in college if thats what you really want to do ?

If your family is paying your bills, you owe it to them to commit yourself to studying.

Also, HTML and C# coders are a dime a dozen. If you were planning on making money as a freelancer you will be going head-to-head with a room full of Indian dudes who are willing to complete the project for 90% less than what you can bill out for.
