My CPC rate is BULLS***

On adsense it used to be $0.92 cents, now it's gone down to $0.29 CPC. And on my other native ad network, just terrible $0.04 CPC, and I've gotten over 100 clicks in the last 3 days. Incredibly frustrating.

I don't know what the hell I'm doing wrong nor can I wrap my mind around how I can improve these shitey stats. Does it have something to do with the fact that they're on a news/politics website?

Thoughts?
I'm doing everything white hat and I've just recently started out

how many terms are you going after. I always recommend starting with 10 then build out from there. This way you can see what those leads are doing. doesnt matter if you get 1,000 people from the ads if they dont interact on the site its all for not

please don't crucify me for being this new, but what you mean by terms?
 
Authority sites get all the high CPC ads. In the beginning you were given good ones to test your traffic quality, and it is fluctuating now, it is at the level where Google determines the value of your clicks to be. What banners are you using? Text banners usually have higher CPC.

All I can say is stop focusing on your stats and just continue to create content. Don't get bogged down with the stats in the beginning. Your website is still young I imagine and it's going to take time.

Yeah it's a young website, I just started out- what can I say. I'm focusing on content like mad, pumping out 2-4 quality articles a day (all written by yours truly).
Not counting today the 26th, over 9 days I've managed to get 17K views which would average out to ~44K views a month and ~40K visitors a month if I keep this up.

It seems impossible to be able to have potentially 40K/month visitors (organic) come to your news site, and get shit all out of it for your efforts. Sorry maybe I'm just being a little bitch right now, but how can I JUST focus on making quality content if my efforts as of right now are being disproportionally under compensated.

I want to continue writing news politics, but damn it I want to also get some shred of decent income out of it also. Not $0.05 CPC...

review your ad service income by going allow block ad section and block some low paying categories.

Haha but really, you have to think about the CPC for the niche. What exactly will Google be displaying that can make money for you? How can a news website convert into money for Google? It's hard. You should monetize with other means.

I seriously can't. I know someone from here who's making his living doing what I'm attempting at doing. Obviously his traffic and platforms and fan-base (like on fb) are far superior than mine, but damn it he only took 5 months to get to where he is right now. I can do that also.

I just need a push in the right direction.

Obviously you're absolutely right about what you said, but I'm wondering if there's anything more to it than just that. I need to re-strategize
 
What is the revenue after 17k views? Are you building a mail list?
 
You will promote offers or products, or just mention a new article that you've posted. Main purpose: more traffic and revenue.

Your earnings/visit are $0.001. Not working with AdSense but i feel that's terribly low.

A mailing list is what it says. A list of mails that you gathered from your visitors.
