What if Movie get stucked after 10 minutes, user need to go away from computer, site got overloaded, videl url is taking down, bla bla bla? You loosing alot of potential leads.
I would set it to 2-3 minutes.

Its called content locking and the method is explained all over bhw, but the lock for movies is set at 1 minute or so.

real bh way: lock it after 2-3 minutes and lock it after 1 hr also

i would lock it once after 5 minutes, lock it again after 30 minutes, again at 1 hour, then maybe 3 more times just before the ending

Ericsson is right, one hour would be just plain stupid. I get that you want the user to be so engrossed in the film that they just want to see the rest but man you can do that after like 15-30min. An hour is just stupid.
