My cpa(content locking) website Journey.

Hello my name is Brandon, I bought a keyword from Basstrackerboats Website for 15$. Upon further research I found other niche related keywords that I decided to go and start a website around. (The actual keyword I did buy from Basstrackerboats. I just started last week but I'm not writing about that at this time.)

I bought an expired domain that I found with scrape box expired domain finder. My website has 8 articles ranging from 1000-2500 words each. I bought the domain in April, but I didn't start building the actual site until the middle of may, Here are my current rankings


The cool thing is 4 of these keywords I'm ranking for aren't what I have aimed for. I wrote 6 of the articles my self and bought the other 2. So I have only spent 50 dollars so far on this website.

Here's my plan of action

I'm going to buy at least 6 articles a month and on top of that make 300-500 word posts on the long tail keywords that I naturally rank for.

These 300-500 word posts that I publish. I am going to setup banners on them leading to various cpa offers. I'm going to content lock the articles that I am aiming for via a download button.

As far as On/Off page seo. I'm reading Phpbuilts on page seo pdf to correctly setup my articles and posts. As far as backlinking goes I comment on websites for the keyword I am going after. I do have some expired web 2.0s that I have scraped, but I haven't touched them although I am going to. I'm thinking of purchasing some link packages here, but for right now I am going to just focus on my own articles, posts and backlinks.

This thread was made for the fact that I have been a little lazy working on this website and to kick-start my butt into making this something profitable. I'm also doing ppv/media buys on the side, so that kinda interferes with this project so maybe it's not me being lazy just trying to do too much at a time?

Due to my job I will only update once a week on what I have done to this website. But if you have any questions I can surely try to answer them.

Ok so I haven't been posting weekly like I said I would. I've been doing a lot of media buying lately, but I'm still working on this website. Anyways here's my progress so far


I'm ranking for 480 keywords right now and it just keeps going up day by day. Some of my main keywords i'm ranking for aren't showing up in semrush though, but that's cool. Here's what I've done since the 3rd.

I've added 7 articles since my last posting, plus I have 2 more otw. I'm still writing my homepage which i'm going to make it at least 4000 words, However I do have 1300 written words so far I just need to get it done with! I also ordered some web 2.0's, so let's see how they pan out!

Don't use semrush or ahrefs for tracking, they update some keywords after 1-2 months. Use proper trackers like serpbook, micrositemasters...

Try to post the articles with a little drip, not all at one.

As above, you can schedule articles for posting, I tend to do these set for different days of the week, different times ( personal preference ).

Update: I'm averaging about 10 visits a day. I haven't received a lead yet but they'll come eventually. I have a bunch of long-tail keywords on the 2nd and 3rd pages of the serps, mostly in foreign countries. What I've done since then. I've added 2 new articles and re-optimized 2 of the pages that fell out of the serps, (as I said on my first post i'm using phpbuilts seo guide), and 1 of the pages re-appeared on the 7th page, but disappeared again, but i'm expecting them to come back stronger! I'm going to re-optimize the pages that are on the 5th+ pages of the serps today. Until then..

You should jump in right now. Once I get this site where I want it, i'm thinking $200 days shouldn't be to far out of reach. And this is just 1 site man!
