My computer is hacked.. Help!!!

Delete Norton, I am working for them right now (I am actually in their office :-P )

Use Avira, Malwarebytes and Hitman Pro. Nothing will survive :)
I concur with this statement. Hitman Pro is good, as is the Kaspersky TDSS rootkit scanner. If you can, get the premium version of Avira and purchase the full version of Malwarebytes, so that it runs in real time alongside Avira.

I've got the full version of them from somewhere.. Thanks for help.. Avira is scanning now. More than 24 threats are found again, even after scanning with hitmanpro and malwarebytes. Anyways, I hope the virus I was having is removed..

backup your stuff and format, antiviruses never get everything, they always leave shit behind.

Delete the contacts in your email list asap.

Also, Norton IS a virus as far as I'm concerned.

I had something like this happen to me with yahoo mail recently. Simply delete all of your contacts in yahoo mail and watch the problem disappear in two minutes flat without further digging into antivirus stuff.

To prevent this from happening again, stop looking at porn!

Install Hijackthis (Google it , it is free) then go to hijackthis online log analyzer (google it to find) and follow the instruction.

From your description, I think it is not the virus but some form of Malware/Adware. Most probably their hiding place is in your main drive that is C or D or whatever. Check it say C: document and settings/ user/ application. The 'application' folder is hidden folder so you have to first uncheck the folder options so as to show all hidden folders and files. In the application folder you will see the .exe file which you don't recognize. Deleting it may solve your problem.

read my blog bit.ly/bPZyDQ Its the best solution to keep your secure.

P.S You can thank me by clicking the ads :p

At times i have some Chinese :china: fagots trying to access my pc through SQL ports. Kaspersky blocks it :)

Same thing happened to my computer.

Your recommendations are very good.

There is one I use for reference:

Norton makes my computer slow and it takes a lot of memory (this is the damn thing I try to avoid)
Kaspersky was very good. Low memory usage.
Now I use McAfee because I can get it for free.

Run malware bytes. If the virus doesn't allow you to run it boot your computer in safemode and change the name of the malware bytes.exe to something random and you should be all set.

I'm in the industry and Norton isn't bad (no I do not work for Symantec) but unfortunately a lot of you guys run the same old version and engine and you never update. Also signature updates alone won't protect if your engine is a few years old. It's a pain in the ass but if you Vista and Windows 7 use UAC. If you regularly go to dicey sites use a computer running Ubuntu. If an app is a download or torrent run it in VmWare or Sandboxie first.

Thanks guys for recommending HijackThis.. Its a great tool.. Luckily my comp had nothing suspicious :) .

use a virtual machine to do all your login. execute all your program in your normal os. I'm implementing this and think it would be safe
