So I'm bored atm and thought I'd share this. These plugins are the first things I install on a new site after I install a nice looking theme.

    Here is the list:

Auto SEO Tags -Every time a visitor arrives from a search engine their query is added as a tag for the post they visit.

    Akismet - Self explanatory

cbnet Ping Optimizer - Self explanatory

    Massive Ping List:

    http://pastebin.com/raw.php?i=9g2sSyVT

Date Exclusion SEO - Gives your blog a feeling of freshness by turning off the display of date information after a specified number of days or immediately after posting.

    Google Analytics - Self explanatory

Google XML Sitemap for Images - This plugin will generate a XML Image Sitemap for your WordPress blog.

Google XML Sitemaps - This plugin will generate a special XML sitemap which will help search engines like Google, Yahoo, Bing and Ask.com to better index your blog.

Incapsula - The Incapsula plugin will make sure that any reference to the user IP in your WordPress will use the correct IP address when your site is safeguarded by Incapsula.

iRobots.txt SEO - iRobots.txt SEO is a SEO optimized, secure and customizable robots.txt virtual file creator.

Secure WordPress - Basic security checks for securing your WordPress installation.

SEO Friendly Images - Automatically adds alt and title attributes to all your images. Improves traffic from search results and makes them W3C/xHTML valid as well.

SEO Slugs - Removes common words like 'a', 'the', 'in' from post slugs to improve SEO.

SEO Smart Links - SEO Smart Links provides automatic SEO benefits for your site in addition to custom keyword lists, nofollow and much more.

Widgets on Pages - Just for my needs.

WordPress Backup to Dropbox - Keep your valuable WordPress website, its media and database backed up to Dropbox in minutes with this sleek, easy to use plugin.

Wordpress Firewall 2 - This Wordpress plugin monitors web requests to identify and stop the most obvious attacks.

WordPress SEO By Yoast -The first true all-in-one SEO solution for WordPress, including on-page content analysis, XML sitemaps and much more.

    Plugin Central
    - Update all plugins at once with a single click.

    Contact Form 7
    - Contact form plugin. Simple but flexible.

WPtouch - WPtouch automatically transforms your WordPress website into an application-like theme, complete with ajax loading articles and effects when viewed from the most popular mobile.

UPDATE: Forgot to add the following:

WP-PageNavi - Adds a more advanced paging navigation interface.

Broken Link Checker - This plugin will check your posts, comments and other content for broken links and missing images, and notify you if any are found.

    W3 Total Cache
    - Improve site performance and user experience via caching: browser, page, object, database, minify and content delivery network support.

    Yet Another Related Posts Plugin
    - Display a list of related entries on your site and feeds based on a unique algorithm.

Hope that this list is helpful to at least one person.

Good info, there are a couple I am going to check out. One question, why use the google xml sitemap plugins if Yoast does the same thing?

For some reason Traffic Travis didn't recognize the Sitemap create by Yoast. So just to make sure, I installed Google XML Sitemap. TT recognized the XML sitemap and I find the layout to be neater.

Are all of them still working? I mean after the Penguin update are they still in the same position? I heard most of the tools and plugins were damaged.

Bumping this because I can't edit the OP and the Pastebin link no longer works, so here's a new one:

    http://pastebin.com/kaBGfMHP

I have also added these plugins to my collection:

gtrans - Make your website available to the world using Google Translate.

IP Filter - Grants or denies access to a list of IP addresses.

WPSocialite - Long page loads aren't fun for anyone. Use WPSocialite to take control of heavy social sharing links and load them how you want!

WP Minify - This plugin uses the Minify engine to combine and compress JS and CSS files to improve page load time.

please tell me that you don't put all of those on your wp install at one time? WP is database heavy, which means that when you page loads, it's calling every single one of those plugins and killing your load times...which in the end will end up killing your seo.

Purely by making your site go from a load time of 2secs to 1 second or less will make the difference between being on page #1 or on page #3

Sorry to tell you but I do, except for Broken Link Checker which I uninstall after the scan is complete. My sites' load time is around 1.80 - 2s. I guess W3 Total Cache and WP Minify really do work.

Btw, the majority of my sites are on page 1 so I don't know what else to tell you.
