My Clickbank Story So Far....

You can really loose your shirt with ppc.
Try targeting clicks around 10 cents a click, that's the best advice I have.

Avoid PPC at all cost.
Try to use free resources.

Yeah you should probably stay away from PPC unless you have a set up that has proven to convert.

damnn....thats a lot of PPC, maybe u better change to PPC income for ur site instead of clickbank...think about it

Try to write an article and post on ezine

I can give this a go.

My PPC was at 0.21p per click budget, i have reduced this down to 0.11.

Will leave this for 24 hours and see if i get souble clicks (not sure if it works like that though) If it fails again i think i shall have to do what you guys suggest and pull completly from PPC.

I shall try a bit more with targetted emails, probably only after a small list for the software niche. Will see how that goes. And will also try an article, although i dont like doing that (seems too long to see any benefits)

If you are spending money on PPC, then you should be pushing these people to an opt-in page for an email list. That way you can significantly increase the chances of converting them later on and this will cut some of your expenses.

Update:

Day 3 complete and made one further sale

Thanks to advice regarding PPC, i have reduced my default bid to 0.11 and this is meaning i am managing to get more clicks with my budget for the day.

My stats are now

Revenue $53.92

Costs: $72.96 (which includes domain and all PPC)

Total is -$19.04

PPC works, but after a lot of testing, split testing, trial & error. This is only possible to those with unlimited budget... but once it starts to work the profit margin is huge if you target the right "buying" keywords. If you cannot do any of this, then stay away.

My suggestion is to look at article marketing and SEO... but whatever you do persist with it for a good month. The problem with people is they will try for a couple of days and then try something else... and you are not going to find anything that works in a couple of days. It will take longer than that to show results.

Thanks Moserw,

Yes i shall try for a few weeks with a very low ppc budget. In the mean time i think i shall also take peoples advice and work on articles. (although this part seems boring for me)

Just hope i get another sale today, would be nice

agreed ppc can get you spending alot of money if u want to continue i suggest to at least lower your budget till u shape up ur campagin

PPC is expensive but gives fast results. SEO is cheap on the log run because in ppc you have to spend all the time to keep making money but in SEO you spend money / time for some time then reap all the goodies after that without spending more money.

Yeah scripteen, this is the problem i am facing, as i am the kind of person who wants results fast so i go with PPC.

Even though if i am considering this being a 6 month + project then maybe doing SEO, articles etc to help rank my site better is the best way and cheaper way to go.

I will stick with PPC for at least 2 weeks though and see how i do. In mean time i will work on adding content and building links

Shall stick with PPC.
One of the secret of successful IMer is PPC.
They raked in millions of dollars from PPC. I have seen live!
The main reason is with PPC,you can generate traffic from any niche easily and immediately without even setting up your site for slow SEO progress.
Bear in mind, PPC is a deadly game, chances of survival is low but once you master it, you can have arbitrage income for the rest of your life.
Btw, are you using Adwords?

My advice is to take the best converting keywords of your PPC campaign and create sites that are optimized for them. Once done, you can promote them aggressively to get them ranked high in the search engines for long lasting, free, targeted traffic.

Usually the exact match has a higher ROI, then the phrase match and then the broad match.
