Long story short, a business account I created on my personal phone, got logged into on my marketing phone (2nd phone).

I used to work for an agency, which had their accounts get suspended. This caused my 2nd phone to have a bad device fingerprint (im assuming).

Long story short, I accidentally signed into my business account (0 posts, likes, literally 0 actions and unrelated) on that 2nd phone due to iCloud keychain.

I immediately logged out and deleted the app but within hours the account got suspended. Its also asking for photo verification and I don’t want to do that because I feel like it’s likely it just gets banned for no reason.

What should I do? I can’t believe this, I know I did nothing wrong on the account.

Yeah, that kind of suspension is frustrating but sadly not surprising. Instagram flags context as much as content , so just logging in from a phone that’s already “burned” can trigger an automatic block, even if the account itself is clean. Even if the account’s clean, the system flags the login based on the phone’s history ,not your actions.

If it’s asking for photo verification, that might be your only realistic shot at recovery. I get that it feels risky, but ignoring it usually just leads to a permanent lock. Best thing now is not to log in again from any device linked to past suspensions ,and let things cool off before retrying.

So you suggest maybe wait a few weeks then appeal with photo verification?

What if I file a lawsuit in small claims court?

Yeah exactly, giving it a bit of time before doing the photo verification can make a difference ,especially if that flagged device or IP gets aged out in the logs. It won’t guarantee recovery, but your odds might improve slightly.

About suing Meta in small claims... honestly, that won’t go anywhere. They don’t even respond unless you’re a major advertiser or represented legally. Their system runs on automation, not human arbitration. The verification route might be annoying, but realistically it’s still your only path forward.

Bruh you cant say to the OP it wont go anywhere. Say I think it wont go anywhere. Thats only your opinion not that it is in that way.
I myself put Meta in small claims and have my court date. My instagram business was disabled and I had to pay people to recover my disabled account. Now i am waiting only for small claims. I want to get some money from them. Also regarding small claims meta has no other choice becuase its a court. They usually reinstate accounts before the court date because they dont have time to pay lawyers to go there for such things. So stop misleading people.
I can send you 30+ links of people where they won in small claims and they had personal accounts with 200 followers or so. Imagine being a business.

Regarding reinstation, you can basically pay people who have access to META PATNER PORTAL or people who have insiders (meta employess) and everything is done through a middleman.
Waiting for meta verification support wont get you anywhere.

OPs case is very easy since it isnt a copyright or CSE case. these are heavy cases and are expensive.

In that case, you would need to appeal the account. You would do the face recognition and that should get the account back.

Im just nervous about doing so because I have tried that on other accounts (marketing OFM wise and never got them back).

You can try requesting a manual review via:
https://business.facebook.com/help → "Account disabled or restricted"

What worked for me was to write a brief and respectful appeal:
"I believe my account was disabled in error. It may have been flagged due to device history. I have taken steps to avoid future risks and would like to request a manual review."

Avoid photo verification, wipe iCloud Keychain to stop cross device flags
