I'm curious/slightly nervous about why he would ask for such information. It's basically just me who uses the computer, and another person who is there on my days off, so one of my biggest questions/concerns is can he see my browsing history remotely with access to the IP? If he can, I'm sure that stretches to things viewed in a private browser mode, like incognito mode on google chrome. Basically my biggest concern is he might find out that I've viewed some less than safe for work sites while at work.

Do you work at a big company or a small company? If it's a small company, there's a chance that he may just give you a "stern talking to" if he discovers that you've been visiting dubious websites (assuming the content is not illicit rather than explicit) and you can just say you have a porn addiction.

The owner could have easily gotten the details by coming down to the shop and finding the IP himself or thru some other trusted person. So he could only be putting you under a fear cloud. But that's only one of the many possibilities. Again, your IP address may not be a static address, so he might need the time factor to investigate. Then, he could have just given the ISP the payment etc details and could have gotten all details of where your PC had been visiting... Anyway, you are in a soup IF you had been watching child abuse in any way. No sympathies if that's the case. May be other things can still be pardonable, but not that, or terrorist related activity, or anti-national, or 1001 other such things....

looks like it's driving you crazy... Here's a simple workout. Get a bot made which will open those illegal sites randomly and at random times, and if boss asks something, tell him PC is infected. Just kidding... But better still is tell the truth if there is no other way out. Probably you don't have anything to worry about. If you are watching porn frequently, the problem could be that you are using to much bandwidth, and knowing the IPs he could know who is doing it. It is not probably that he put some software in your computer to analyze what pages are you entering or what are you doing. Just tell him your IP, stop doing it and you will have no problems.
