My BLOGS being hit be SCRAPEBOX spammers

@ Op, If you got a blog, you should have Scrapebox and start spamming too!

One spam comment that Akismet caught
Ooohh, I am quite interested in your site. If I were to use this website, I could earn you 100-200 USD daily. I am willing to work on monetizing your site, on the condition that you share 50% of revenues with me. If you are interested, please send me an email.

I have had this comment on every one of my sites...lol. Akismet didn't catch mine though. The comments I usually get are jibberish and have nothing to do with my sites.

you go to BHW to share..you go to SBsupport to complain...how simple is that? or you just dont get it?

As you probably agree, the OP started this thread to tell us how to better use our comments in Scrapebox. Since we only concentrate about making spam comments, we should also think about how blog owners take our comments into consideration.

I think the response on how cnn achieved PR9 and making billions is not very good comparison. Most blog owners do moderated comments, it's our benefit to maximize the number of stick comments, not how many comments we can post.

Back to the topic, so OP, do you have any good advices on how we make better comments without spending too much time... as you know, we are all busy people :)

I don't know about this...

On my blogs, I just don't approve any comments - at all. If someone makes a comment that sticks, they are blog contributors that actually write articles for the blog. Everyone else can shove it.

As far as spam, if people send comments to legit blogs and expect them to stick, that's pretty stupid most of the time.

That having been said, I'd had a lot of bad comments get approved into moderated blogs. I comment spam without regard, simply looking for auto-approve blogs. I don't fear retribution, or anything else. I'm sorry for the pain in the ass it causes a lot of blog owners, but not sorry enough to stop link spamming. Let askimet handle my dumb ass, don't approve my comments, or just do what I do and ignore all comments. People should at least try to make their comments non-vague, and non-random but they won't - it's life.

Lastly, I certainly don't see how this is going to be the downfall of SB. SB is an all purpose SEO tool. The pure comment posters might suffer, but SB will survive.

Perhaps you must concentrate on advertising and not on moderating :). When I spam and I spam a lot I wonder why the hell guys like you even read comments and try to moderate them. Is that some kind of fetish you enjoy ? The really funny thing is that the biggest companies online like CNN, NASA etc. don't bother reading comments and moderating and they are still page rank 9 and make billions :).

turn off the first 3 boxes in the discussion and add

http://
.
in the banned part

and wordpress has the setting to hold all comments with 1 or more links...
im not sure if im missing something here or not, but i always set this for 1 and forget it

I've seen some pretty good Spam comments and you know that COMMENTS are also CONTENT so I usualy delete the 1 line spam comments but I leave the comments that are 3-5 lines even tho they are spam they are content too containing valuable keywords ;)

Yeah, and remove their website so it's all good and all win ;)
