Hey BHW!


First off let me start off by apologizing if this is in the wrong section, Since I am making a site on blogger I thought it would be appropriate to create a thread here. Now I know there are a lot of experts on BHW and that's why I'm here, to learn from them.

Second, I'm not looking for methods to make " 1000's a day" I have my own method but I just need a push in the right direction and some guidance would be appreciated. I've never made a website in my life but after browsing through threads on BHW for the last month or so I finally have the motivation to get my business started.

NOW HERE IS WHERE I NEED HELP

Since I have $0 and no HTML experience I will be using blogger to make my site.

What am I doing with my site?
I am going to be $elling Auto cad 2010 on my site, I haven't created it yet because of a key component that I needed help with. I'm not sure what to call the blog and what the page title should be.

I tried to use Ad-words but after about 2 hours I gave up on it, so I would REALLY APPRECIATE IT if someone could tell me what to name my blog and give me some tips.

How am I selling?
I will be using an online vendor called EJunkie to sell my Auto desk Keys.

How do I plan on getting traffic?

After reading through hundreds of threads on BHW, I know backlinks and directory submissions are key to getting traffic.


And another question, How do I set up AW Stats on blogger?

since blogspot is web 2 property, you may not have any trademark issues even if you use their product name or trade name as a name of your blog. it's upto you to decide the name exactly after doing some keyword research.

to get quick traffic you may try popunder traffic or use adbrite/bidvertiser

i'm not sure about setting up AW stats in blogger blogs.

Thanks for the reply, I appreciate it. I was planning on having autocad included in the name but after I tried to do keyword searching but got nothing. Could you help me put with a website name?

The way to name your blog is to write down a minimum of five different names, after that you should choose from those five what name you like best and use that name for your blog.

What are you using Ad-word for, is it to try to drive traffic to your blog? You really need to know what you're doing before you start messing around with Ad-word.

Why don't you go to Google Keyword tool, generate a list of keywords for your niche and then pick 5 of them. Check if you can register domain name including the keywords you chose.

Planning before is the most important thing... good advice!

Oops, sorry guys I meant to say google keyword tools not adwords. When I type in autocad the keywords I get is stuff like "3d software" but I want to to be first on google if I put in just autocad.

So basically my question is.....

if I named my blog something autocadcheap.blogspot.c0m would that be search engine friendly?

My goal is to be in the top 5 on google when people search "autocad"

autocadlt, autocadlt 2010 - these have decent search volumes. check your competion

I don't feel too confident using the name I made up,

And do you guys think Adsense is worth putting on my blog?

Do you guys know how to set up AW Stats on blogger? I need to keep track of my traffic but I don't want to use Google Analytic.

Tried googling it, got nothing. I still need to learn how to put AW stats on it.

Anyone know of any sites like Adsense that pay via paypal?

Fyi, no one is going to buy anything from a blogspot blog. I suggest you get a domain. I know you said you have no money, but that's probably the smallest investment you'll need to make for a long time.
