My Approach To Keyword Research...

    Wasnt sure where best to post I think its prob White Hat...

    My understanding is the best approach is to build the largest seed list of keywords possible through entering the words through the different tools, brainstorming and re-entering the terms into the tools to create longer tail keywords. It is also useful to enter the terms into google to analyse PPC ads for more ideas and to confirm if worth targeting some terms.

    After creating the list it is best to split into different lists including analysis on how competitive keywords are e.g. main terms, long tail terms.

    Main terms could be used for either categories or for web 2.0 portals that you are hoping to link to your main site.

    Its then best to target longer tail keywords e.g. samsung camera serial number G7456A or geographical locations e.g. SEO specialist in paupa new guinea. After longer tail phrases are targeted then try and attack the main terms.
