My AMR success thread (and stats)

It could be anything. 300 successful article submission is nothing. Link to inner pages and make sure you are using proper anchor texts and making sure your tags are formatted properly. Also, If you are in a niche that is saturated, don't expect to move up anytime soon.

300 articles was the best i could do with AMR! they list 4500 directories. by the time i register, confirm, submit, get approved, only 300 left!

I fixed the HTML in article and resubmit, fixed a few category mis-matches.. and nothing i do would increase my approved counts!

how do i get more approved?

I guess you can double check all of the information you entered. Make sure it's done correctly. Unique name, fresh email, etc...

You are still getting good results because the article directories do not care whether or not the articles you are submitting are unique. So, links from each of those sites count for you. However, those articles you have submitted would not rank through those article directories because they are duplicate. Google would only reckon with the first site in which the articles were found. Another thing you should note is that such articles which accept duplicate articles are of low value. The ones among them that want to improve their quality standard may one day decide to purge themselves of those articles of yours.

This will cause dublicate content for your blog, resulting lowering of SERPs for your blog.

Alarmed at the earlier note about SPIN|SPUN or something... Are you saying that even though you click spin article and allow it to spin those articles... that you STILL have to tell it to spin as it submits???? By putting something else in the "body" OH MY GOD Please tell me I am wrong... cause I had no idea that was the case!!????

Point 2 - Was that you mentioned you reached number 2 in a very competitive niche yet only had 180 visitors?
Point 3 - Was in your first post you said you ranked number 2 to a post on your site, not your sites main URL, yet you later stated that the marketing was driven to your money page?

I have had the # 3 position for a long tail not so competitive keyword for about 3 years. The 1 and 2 SERPs are holding on strong to their positions. I have employed every SEO technique known both black and white with no success in obtaining 1st position. I recently noticed an extremely well written article authored by my partner a couple years ago on a high authority high pr site, this article probably gained us top position for the 2 keywords linked in the resource. I had submitted several average articles via AMR in the past 3 years for the #3 position keyword with no success. I added the #3 keyword to the resource of the article and submitted via AMR.

With the recent Panda update that went about devaluing the rankings and links from article directories, it would be useful to get feedback on how it is effecting rankings with AMR.

I've tried many combinations with AMR after panda

- Unique article, 700 words, no spinning
- Unique article, 700 words, spun
- Scraped article, 700 words, spun


As you may have guessed none of those helped my site even a little.

I have some ideas:

1) all directories on AMR blacklisted / devalued by google
2) links from articles are devalued (res box etc)
3) all article sites are devalued
4) time required to see the results have increased incredibly (that I dont see any results yet)
5) most of the above

Article links still work after panda. It may be beneficial to understand the limitations that have always been there. If you're going to blast a site with AMR over and over just be aware that its strength isn't fighting an army with a water pistol. You can't blast a new site 500 times and rank #1 for "food".

This goes for any software or manual article submissions. Doesn't even have much to do with AMR. Although, keep in mind that with AMR a lot of those directories won't have your page indexed right away. It could take a very long time if you don't help it along. If you blast your site 20 or 50 times, do nothing else, and then forget about it you may not get desired results. But again, this isn't exclusive to AMR.

In terms of why it isn't as effective I think it's mainly to do with 50% of the directories being deindexed so wasted links there. Also of the 50% that are indexed it is still a huge campaign to get your individual articles indexed.

I seem to being doing well with indexing now tho since I did alot of testing recently (check my recent thread on amr and indexing). I get my livelinks, remove the non indexed directories in SB and post my remaining articles to my backlinks energizer cluster/s which seems to be doing a steady job of indexing them.

Good luck with the old RSS/bookmarking method .

I agree with frozen spade that this poor old dog of a program is still useful for ranking low comp keywords since I just began work on another one and 14 indexed links from AMR has got me to 23 or so place already.

I have also ranked in the same manner for similar long tailers. I've been told I'm in a very competitive niche and it's been hard to rank for the 1k+ kws so I'm gonna focus on the long tailers again for a while. As such AMR is coming out of the closet for another few spins around the block!
