Hey so I just received my first payment from amazon.
I chose "check" as direct deposit is only available in the US and my only other option is "gift cards" which in fact ain't money but credits I can spend on amazon.

I live in denmark and the check was on $200. I gave it to my bank and everything seemed fine, now some days later I was called by my bank who says that they charge $30 for processing it.
But that is not the big problem, he said the american bank (amazons) which made the check will also charge a lot to send it to denmark, he didn't knew exactly how much as he said it depends on which bank it is. But he said I could expect it to cost $100-150 leaving me with $20-70 or more/less depending on what the bank charges.

Any idea what I can do? I have put a lot of work and expenses into SEO and my websites and if the banks cut about 70% that is a huge loss and amazon will never work for me.

If payoneer is available in your country, then that is the best option.
I live outside the US, and the only best option for me is using Payoneer. You get charged about 2% for loading the cash and about 2% when withdrawing it from an ATM.

Hmm you sure I can use payoneer? I need bank account details in the US for the direct deposit to work. Do you get a bank account with payoneer?

I'm using payoneer. They will give you the us bank account along with the prepaid debit card. Have to wait for a week or 2 for the card to be delivered though.

In Spain, one bank charges me 10€ and other 15€. But the real pain is the exchange rate. Euro sucks

there should only really be one charge by your bank to accept the cheque plus exchange rate, never heard of the other charge you mention

I have no advice to give but would like to mention that some bank branches have morons sitting in them that have no clue in regards to what they're doing.

I think your bank isn't right. Why will they charge you this amount for a postal letter?
Aweber sends me check every month without any fee, I doubt Amazon will take ridiculous fees for that.

Yes, you can get a checking bank account with payoneer. And no need waiting for days for your check to clear. If you are still in doubt, you can contact payoneer via their online chat.
