Hello, I noticed my site traffic plunged few weeks before google announced the spam update. I run an amazon affiliate website, and my content are manually written and well edited. It's been like two months now, since my traffic went down the drain, and i've done all my best to bring it back on track, by updating my old contents, I even built some do-follow backlinks, but nothing is working.

My content aren't thin, however, i get high bounce rate a lot, and i've tried so hard to bring it down. Although, sometimes, it goes up and down. Does google have any issues with affiliate websites? 90% of my content are informational, but i do include my affiliate links in them. Like all my content have affiliate links, is that enough reason for google to punish me?

What can i do, to bring my affiliate site back to life? although i still make some few bucks once in a while.

In addition, one of my best performing keyword that was sitting on pos. 5 before i got hit, has been receiving impression on GSC, however, if i use third party tools like semrush and serprobot to check for the keyword position, it appears that the keyword is not on serp. But is shows and avg position of 14.9 on GSC, is this some kind of glitch from GSC.

If you have faced similar issues, i'd like to know how you handled yours. All thoughts are welcomed.

Check in GSC if you were hit by a manual action, also check if there is any indexing issue

no manual action, however two of my content are refusing to get indexed, even though, they were indexed before.

There should be a reason they got deindexed

Have you been hit on 13th September or around so? There was a core update.

Next they had a review update, might have hit you too. Around 20th of September.

Seems like an algo penalty to me. How much traffic have you made before?

How much percentage of traffic did you lose?
It seems that you were hit by an update.

See, you can't do anything. It depends on Google. Whether it wants to revive your site or not, it's totally on Google.

Your site got hit by google spam update if you did anything spammy please try to remove
