k so after months of hard work i have finally achieved page 1 ranking for almost all of my keywords.. and am getting almost 300 visitors per day.. [its not a very popular keyword]

k the number of clicks is not whats bothering me.. its the CPC.

today i got 2 clicks on my adsense and got commissioned $0.08.. its enough to make one cry.

like after all this hard work..this is what I get?? :(

now ive heard of kw research but frankly and obviously im not having much luck with it..

one thing ive taught myself is that technology related keywords have the lowest cpc ever.

i would seriously appreciate some guidance here.. how to find a good paying keyword and a keyword that is easy to rank...

not anything like credit or load or debt all of them are impossible to rank for

thank you

A couple tips from someone who has been down that road...

#1 Adsense itself sucks balls.

#2 The niches that have high payouts are usually saturated to shit

#3 even if you manage to find a niche that pays out well, and get traffic coming to it, G usually finds a way to F you over.

Final analysis? CPA is way better.

you have the same story which i have dude...

I know you said that you're total number of clicks doesn't bother you, but perhaps you should work on that? If your 2 clicks out of 300 visitors is average, that's a ~.6% CTR. Adsense isn't going to waste their time giving you the ads that are of an value if you're not contributing many clicks to them. Get your CTR up to a decent number, and I bet that you'll see a big different in the value of those clicks.

What would be a decent CTR without having google banning you account?

I am atm averaging anywhere from 10% to even 20% on some websites of mine ... it all depends on the type and amount of traffic you're getting.

yeah 10-20% is a extremely good click through rate, but I'd say if you aim for 8-10% you're doing well.

adsense it's about volume , 300 visitors with 10% ctr means like 30 clicks .... let's say it's worth to grow the site .... IF the clicks are well payed unfortunately the rumors which you see everywhere saying '' this keywords giving such per click '' are all false :) ... payment for clicks can't be predicted by the publisher by any chance .... anyway from my experience it's seems normal payment for search organic traffic it's around 50 cents per click ( some clicks getting better payment and others low payment ) that's most probably because of the location of the users ... but ... take the good part from this game ;) and just raise & repeat .... if you was capable to bring 300 visitors per month into one site , just create other 1000 sites :D similar with this one ( my two cent's it's to never focus into single niche ) ... and jump in sky with the adsense's :D

pm me with your site. I'll see how to improve CTR in ways I think is legit.

I agree with what everyone else is saying as far as a CTR, and usually like to stay around, or just below 10%. IMO 20% is too high for a regular CTR, but I have heard of people making it work.

Hi, try CPA / Affiliates... unlike Adsense there is competition. Google may have smartpriced you for some reason

change your adsense ads to -> clickbank ads(product promotion)

trust me playing affiliate more better that "adsense"
adsense suck!! I have some serious sh1tz trauma with adsense before..

but with clickbank/affiliate...
just 20 ~ 40 unique visitor per-day..
still get cash $40 ~ $50 a day(sometime)

from some of my - 6 niche website ;)

I would change the business model from Adsense to something else

Adsense in itself is a nice bonus but I won't suggest using it as your primary income source for the site.

You'll be surprised with the results you achieve if you change it to an affiliate model

I would venture to have to agree with the last few posts recommending CPA / CB over AdSense. AdSense does work well when used properly, but I rarely use it except for on autoblogs... and even then I'll go with some CB offers occasionally. CPA could work well, but I wouldn't want to have to keep making sure the offers on autoblogs were up to date. On an actual blog / page, you probably are better off running CPA or CB products. There is a WP widget that promotes CB products like Adsense I believe.

thats great news.. ill give it a try..

ill change to this affiliate model.. of clickbanl or any other..

how do i do that?
