I have used that account for many years so I can't get rid of it. Now I want to get it back, do you have any other way?

Temporarily replace the new account then cancel the old account
 
I have the same problem as you, there are a lot of resources in there. Luckily, after more than 30 days I got it back
 
You can try changing the pay until it opens the mail checkpoint or wait 30 days and it will change to the mail checkpoint

Error 956 (safe error) is a condition that temporarily locks the Facebook account until the user completes the verification process. Users will not be able to access their Facebook accounts (including Messenger messages) on all devices
