My account exploded?

I have twenty accts that I've been running on FL and MP for the past few months.

One account I have, which had 8500 followers, seems to have gone viral. A pic I posted yesterday has gotten 3k likes so far, which is insane engagement. The pic is nothing special at all, so I'm confused how this has happened? Along with that, I've gotten 600 organic followers since then.

I'm not complaining don't get me wrong, just want to know how this happened so I can emulate it in the future? Lol

i have a new account with 1k follower where a pic got 700 like ... that happens from time to time

You probably ended up on the Top Posts of a hashtag you used. That usually boosts your engagement a whole lot if you stay there for a couple hours.

A bigger account liked your pic which led to your picture being shown to more people's explore page. That is how sometimes your pictures explode.

Most likely a bigger account liking your photo. If you really care, spend the time and go through the 3K and audit.

Top Posts (tags) helps with engagement but doesn't translate that much to followers. If you didn't see a significant gain in followers, it might have been top posts.
