3) then to your phone, log into your email, go to the mail where it says your password was changed, you will also see "secure this account", click it and your logged in your account.

I and many others had a problem where it would say "Help us confirm you own this account" today, but I'm not exactly sure if you have the same problem, but I will still post this

Clearly the person that hacked him changed the email so any forgot password email will go to the new email.
There is no way to report your account hacked,not unless you have acces to FB support.
The only thing you can do without FB support is move on.
