well after a few months the whole 'seo' thing is starting to click...
reinie, is there any method you follow for picking keywords? i.e. highest CPC, Most searches, lowest competition etc?
my blogs so far have just been a big list of scraped related terms, no real digging into the keywords. been trying to start looking into that and am getting a bit overwhelmed
as for the twitter, my experience is that it is gold. basically just set up an account for each blog and load it into tweet attacks to slowly un/follow. nothing drastic but youll keep chugging along pulling in a dozen or so followers a day on each account. it really starts to add up. its really obvious across my blogs that the ones with the most followers have more traffic, both direct and from search engines.
then of course you get retweets from other people and things, google seems to love it.

Yea your right, google loves the retweets...and also sites that grab topic related tweets and post your tweet on their site.
As for the keywords...
I do my keyword research for the categories only...So I would choose the top 3 keywords that seems to be fairly easy yet get a lot of traffic and decent CPC. I just use Market Samurai.
Besides that I keep an eye on my incoming search terms and analyze the top term's potential. I would then go in manually and edit those posts to be on par with the desired incoming search term. Usually these posts rank between 4 and 10 so I would just do a little seo to make it fit the incoming term better for more traffic.
I am also subscribed to Extrawinner's keyword package, I recommend you get it. You will get a list of keywords each week that are really great to target. Just scan through them and find those related to your niche. Use these to make or edit current posts.
I use the keywords tool from adwords and the google suggest scraper too. Try those.

been playing with this some more and first want to say that the regex to remove the links is two slashies and not a carrot(theres only one carrot), took me forever to figure that ha.
ive got it 99% working. first, every couple of articles dont match the parsing pattern and returns a null error. is that ok? just gets skipped over for the blog?
second, im left with <div class="yom-mod yom-art-content"> in the final feed's item.description. even though i tell the regex to delete it thats what im using to parse the article text.
ALSO:
are you sending the full blown main yahoonews rss feed into pipes as it looks like in your OP image? do you then filter it out with the keywords box in wprobot? seems like its awfully inefficient...

Yes it will just skip it... sometimes there are video posts etc which throw things off a little bit.
Just select "in.content" replace "<div class="yom-mod yom-art-content">" with "space"
No I use for example...health.news.yahoo.com/ or whatever...Its awfully effective

got some tests up and running, different then yours but same idea. working out the kinks and starting to supplement them into my existing blogs.
wp-robot has an option to strip links from feeds too.
one more question.
do you suggest leaving in the {source} tag in the wprobot rss module on spun posts? it links back to the original page that the aggregator feed got it from.
i know its a must-have if your post is copypasta, but what about if spun with TBS-best giving ~20% unique from original?

Well I delete the linkback or {source} but lately I decided to keep the "Reuters - " just to be safe from copy write laws.

Yes I used old domains, the older the better. Especially when dealing with autoblogs. You can get away with much more than a new site

Nice answer thanks ... Any other tips to choose better domains? Like pr , back links etc?
Well obviously if you can find something that has PR or authority (powerfull links pointing to it) or a lot of good links in general, it will be a bonus... I have never been real lucky finding anything better than just aged domains....

pretty solid earnings -on autopilot I presume ?. Thing is I hate putting out auto-published stuff, and really love generating unique content. Why Wp-robot instead of WP-O-Matic ?
