My 1st IM journey

Ive done enough reading and think its time I try my own little journey , goner log what a do here.

Please be honest with what im doing, if i doing a load of crap please tell me.

aiming to rank for a niche finance product, site will be more for burn and churn just want to see if i can get something to rank for a period of time, if it works repeat the process.

I had a 1 page word press site sitting in the background that i haven't touch in a while, domain is related to finance. 1st registered in 2007 , i picked it up as dropped domain last year where Ive had one page on it since, this is the site im using.
On Friday I added new page that will target the KW. Content was upload on 9th, some on page details
KW in Title once (at the start),
In meta once,
not in H1
appears once in H2
original copy word count is 488
Kw density = 1.5%

Ping the page on 10th, still waiting for it to be index
in the meantime ive:
registered a twitter account
made FB page
Making a video
Writing a press release

Ive also hit the page with a few likes , +1s . retweets and stumbles, no more that 25 each

Ive started to drip feed branded contextual links to the page.

Quick update. Page has be index , finshed drip feeding the the branded links (34 links, from 30 different subnets ),page social stats: 20+ likes, 10+ +1s, 30+ retweets.
page currently not ranking for KW

ranking update: page appeared on page 18 on Friday, as of today its page 10, built a video and submitted it to a few sites and submitted a press release today.
