My 100th Post - Something Useful

So for my 100th post I figured I would post something that people can use and will appreciate.

Apart from that YouTube seems to devalue videos using text to speech robots and rank them lower, we also know how "robotic" they can often sound.

There is a solution that will allow you to never have to do another voice over, and still have brilliant voice on your videos. It's called Descript - Overdub and it allows you to clone yours (or someone else's) voice.

The more voice samples you upload the better the quality of the cloned voice, but even with 2-3 hours of voice samples the quality becomes super high, almost indistinguishable from the real human voice.

Please note that they do require you to record a specific message saying that you understand your voice is being cloned, so you can't use this service to clone a stranger's voice without their approval.

So now all you need to do is enter your text and in minutes you've got a brilliant voiceover for your videos.

I have a channel with text to speech from speechelo and the videos get recommend a lot from the algo, so what you said may only apply to low quality tts services. I appreciate your tip for the community tho.

These actually sounded human, some services they are so robotic it's painful.

I agree Specheelo is pretty good, but they don't allow you to clone a voice, do they?

Then it's only a matter of time before YouTube marke them as AI and downgrade them I think.

I guess at some point they'll have to accept that AI is the future because almost everyone will use it.

When you clone your own voice (or a voice actor who agrees) you have a unique voice that becomes part of your brand, I like that a lot.

I know a YouTube channel that uses text to speech software on its Naruto videos and they get millions of views daily. Not all channels perform badly with text to speech, but great information shared.

Medium-term I think YouTube won't have a choice but to accept AI, but it seems that both on the Google search side with content written by AI, and on the YouTube side with text to speech they're still trying to fight it from what I can see.

They're certainly not able to identify AI written content though, so I guess it makes sense that they might not be able to identify decent AI speech either.

They just threaten and lie about what they don't like/accept, because most people follow the rules.
