I just want to to give my 0.02 $ on auto-blogs.
I've read lots of posts where people are complaining that their auto-blogs are not successful and they don't make any money from them.
I will give you a few tips to make some $$ with your auto-blog if you know how to apply them.
1. Create as much posts as possible. I know that lots of people are saying "make 1-2 posts per day to look legit" , well if yo do 1000 posts per day you'll not look legit but you will be in profit.
2. Post a link to the original post and send a trackback. Why? this will give you traffic even from the first day of your auto-blog and even you are not indexed by the search engines. When i first started an auto-blog i had like 500 posts and like 150 uniques in first day without being indexed by search engines and only through trackbacks my blog was sending.
3. Use blogsearch rss feeds based on keywords searches to feed your blogs. It's very simple to get related content.
4. Use SEO plugins and all sort of widgets. This helps adding a little of uniqueness to your pages when google crawls them.
And the last tip that actually is some kind of BLACK HAT METHOD.
Before applying this one you'd better know that it's 99 % chances to get kicked out from search engine if you do it. The thing is google will not kick you out instantly so you still can make some money.
This method can be classified as spamming search engine.
This method can be used to get indexed by google even if your content it's 100 % duplicated.
If you will do it it's your choice and you will be on your own risk. I just tell you as a certitude that you're domain will get completely deindexed by google after a while.
Basically you need a wordpress related plugin. I think this one works with any related plugin that has the option to set the number of related posts you want to display. So instead of showing 3 related post go and set the option to display them even if they are not related and increase the count of them to 20-100 (YES THAT MUCH). This will create a long tail of related posts and will get you indexed by google even if your content it's 100% duplicate.
After that set back and wait 1-2-3 days looking at your number of indexed pages that will increase and looking at your traffic that will be boosted up.
