Mute people in bulk on Twitter

Hi, I run a few large twitter account which also follow a large number of people, What I'm looking for is any information anyone can give me about twitters mute function.
I'm looking for a quicker way or maybe software that will allow me to mute a larger number of people who post spam/ post in a foreign language.
If anyone has any tips or ideas of what i can do please feel free to let me know.

how would that actually work in your opinion, by what exact parameters or do you have a list of people who you wanna mute?
i think there's no ready-made solution for this, but i suppose something can be build similarly to those twitter tools which allow you to filter people out who tweet mostly links (spammers), so you can avoid following them, not sure about the language detection tho
