Just set up a WP blog, what plugins are a must have?
Got a few installed to help with security/loading speeds.

Any other suggestions?

Hello there, I would recommend the following plug-ins. I use them for every WP install that I make.

- All In One SEO Pack
- BackupBuddy
- Broken Link Checker
- Google XML Sitemaps
- Share Buttons by AddToAny
- Theme-Check
- WP Clean Up
- WP Super Cache (if you're having slow load times)

Of course, there are tons of other excellent plug-ins. Just my .02.

Yoast SEO (includes XML sitemap)
WP-Optimize
W3 Cache
Stealth Login
WP No External Links or Affiliate link cloaking
At least one Captcha and one Contact Form (most do their work just pick the one you like the most)
Etc....

I think that the necessary plugins are
Social Network Auto Poster
SI Captcha to stop comment spamming
AIO (many webmasters are using for SEO)
Google XML Sitemaps
Nrelate content

Google XML Sitemaps
W3TC
yoast wordpress seo
Backup bd
Bullet Proof Security
JetPack

Link Juice Keeper, the most important plugin you missed!
Wp Super Cache too easy to hack full of vulns and an easy method to find your WP installations HACKED! Its not needed if you have a fast host, really.

http://wordpress.org/plugins/reduce-bounce-rate/ (takes my sites on average from 75% to 50% bounce rate)

Anti spam (security) plugin
Social-bookmarking plugin
Backup plugins
All in one or Yoast SEO plugin

Regarding your requirements use more WP Plugins.

All above mention plugins are must have for a Wordpress blog! If you are looking for some premium plugins, I can provide you on very cheap rates! I also have some themes, you can get from me!
Thanks :)

Defenitly a ton of useful plugins people have suggested, I also use some of these listed above.

All of my wordpress blogs have Akismet and Bullet Proof Security.

1. Akismet
2. All-in-one SEO
3. Backup Buddy.
( do not use too many, they will slow down the site)

I know this is not a plugin but i'd suggest you check out CloudFlare as well.
It's a site that basically speeds up and protect your site.
