Music while working?

Yes, quite often depending on what I am doing.

Either background music when working on admin stuff or headphones on and loud music when focused on a project.

I try to do everything without much distraction as possible such as eating without smartphone, workout without music, working without music etc. For me, silence calms and structures my mind. Similar to meditating but less intense of course. People nowadays are dopamine junkies, myself included. I try my best to counter this with good habits.

Sincerely,
The Data Scientist

Depends on what I am doing.
If it's something that doesn't require focus then sure I would listen to music but if I'm doing research or something where focus is needed then no.

Yeah, I always listen to music while I'm working. For me progressive house or deep chill music is the perfect music for playing in the background, so I basically play it continuously throughout the whole day. Without it it just feels too frickin' quiet.

I can't listen to music while working as the lyrics distracts me so much I start singing along and my mind wanders haha

I'm skipping the music today, and having a Jim Rohn personal development day :)

I cant think while there is music playing but I do listen to music while doing something like washing dishes for example.

That's why there is instrumental music, no voice, no high/low emotions, just pure focus.
I listen to it at times while working. Otherwise, regular radio channels.

Nope. Nothing coming out of it that won't distract me from my work. haha

I don't listen to music while working because it distracts me from my work and prevents me from concentrating

No music while working (nowadays), as in my particular case, it is a distraction.

Yes, yes I do. I listen to a lot of improv music while I am trying to do things. Jazz. Jam bands. Whatever, give me 10min+ songs while I am pounding keys.
