I am about to create an instagram music channel.

I am creating a list of songs that I like to cover, all within a certain ' style '. I like rnb because it's really soft and slow so you can really focus on the details of your voice. I like some pop.

I made a small list and was wondering about 'suggestions' close to this style, in the hope a bubble pops up in my head saying 'oh yeah, right, that song!' Sometimes remember song names can just be a pain.

It must be singable, with the focus on vocals, prefererable not too fast of a track but slow-phased. Most of the times this returns in emotional songs but it's not limited to, I don't really mind that subject. I know a lot of songs but remembering their names can be a pain.

I've got:
- When you say nothing at all - Ronan Keating
- Yesterday - Beatles
- If I were a boy - Beyonce
- Gallery - Mario Vazquez

Don't be afraid to punch some hard ones my way.

Please help me resume my list.

Also, as instagram only allows us to upload a video of max 1 min I was thinking of getting a site or page where I can show them the longer version. Probably soundcloud? I could also decide getting a free or cheap as possible webhost so that I can lure some visitors to my site, probably with some ads there. I just don't want to spend too much upfront before reaping any benefits, who knows I won't get that much visitors at all.

Plan is to start follower/unfollow method on some instagram musicians followers.

Is IG even the best platform for this? I just figured IG does have a lot to offer and it seems fun uploading it there.

I don't have a youtube channel but I could make one.

One thing is, I do prefer being internet artist, no performances onstage etc just online. It's what I prefer, already been a real artist and I want to go from a different angle.

Not trying to 'breakthrough' also, just an internet marketing stunt for myself. Who knows what I might get into but in reality I'm not even tempted to try and be famous or anything, just wanna make some neat bucks and get a crazy nice IG (or whatever) channel, or at least try hehe..

4- Gavin DeGraw - Chariot
5- Ed Sheeran - Photograph

I would love to hear these songs covered. So please give it a go :)
Definitely you should go with the website and then find an affiliate music related which can bring some cash with the ads :)

So, for the website, you can go with a Wordpress theme, as for the affiliate, after a quick google search i found this: http://www.musiciansfriend.com/pages/affiliate-program Idk how good they are though. You should be doing a deep search yourself to find more affiliates and to find a good free wordpress theme
 
Any older Coldplay would be wonderful for this, and really show a solid range. First four albums are some of the best musical anthology I have ever heard. Yellow (as @HostFor.Me stated above), Don't Panic, Shiver, In My Place, The Scientist, Green Eyes, Daylight, What If, Fix You, Speed of Sound, Clocks, Til Kingdom Come, and the ENTIRE Viva La Vida album would work perfect for your niche.

The recordings were kinda okay. But as I am recording with laptop when I went too far sound reduced greatly, but up close my face looked weird (too close) I tried I am yours by Jason Mraz.
 
Maybe something like Riptide by Vance Joy?


Or maybe something like Feels like we only go backwards by Tame Impala?


Both songs are great, 'Feels like we only go backwards' might not be specifically what you're looking for, but it can work.

I love this idea , dont forget use youtube and link to Instagram and Facebook

Setup a blog and start auto posting your video to the blog ifft can help or a wp plugin.

You can monitize by selling the original tunes your singing, also provide your version free ,if they buy the original .

Hi, I suggest facebook and posting the song as open, so anyone can share it, its effective since it starts to play automatically without any clic in your friends facebookfeed,

how can you get affiliate? I am also an artist and I got a fanbase , not a very big one, but something started, I don't know much about these things tho and i know i could do much better if i did.

Thanks all for the great idea's what would I be without you! Have been struggling with getting a good sound but will post updates as soon as I have some neat recordings.
