Music question

At work I constantly am listening to long dubstep or edm mixes that are like an hour or 2 long. I see that these have TONS of views on them and are also monetized in some cases. How do these people get away with making these mixes and then getting them approved on youtube without any kind of copyright strikes against them?? This might be a fairly easy way to make a small income since I have plenty of mixes I've recorded myself.

Hey man.

Firstly, many of these artists are underground artists so they are grateful for the exposure which such mixes give them. Secondly, in many cases the money from ads you see are not going to the mix uploader. But yes, you can make some easy money off mixes, you can even upload your mix to Amazon and sell it!
