Music producer here

Hey guys, thought i'd introduce myself.

I create music + do mixing and mastering for others. I was put onto this site by a musician friend who dived into this world pretty deeply for 3 years a few years ago. As he told me about it i knew it was a rabbit hole that my curiosity couldn't resist.

I'm gonna be mostly interested in how i can get my music in front of the right audiences. I have a target audience in mind. But i've also got an eye open to just learning in general. This seems like exactly the kind of community i'm interested in. I've always been interested in the fringes of society that don't play by the rules of the "system". That said, i've got no interest in hurting my fellow man along the way. I think a good dose of ethics are important.

What areas of the forum should i start reading if i'm someone who's interested in building a music or audio brand? In particular, manipulating algorithms or boosting upvotes in places like reddit.

Also curious to learn more about coding and stuff, although i'm a complete newbie. Where would someone go to absorb the FOUNDATIONAL knowledge.

I'm not in hip hop, i'm more on the psychedelic / post-rock / math rock side of things. What do you make?

Although I'm not in hip hop, i do run a pretty big Hip Hop playlist on Spotify (6k organic followers). I wonder if there would be an effective way to get the playlist in front of the right people too? Not interested in bots. Need genuine monthly listeners. If there's some way to boost posts that get the playlist in front of real people then that would be awesome.

Welcome! If I had money to invest, I'd record an album (I play guitar and bass).
