I like using SiteOrigin's suite of wordpress plugins for my site development.
It doesn't really matter what theme you use, I think, because people are more concerned with a consistent image and message than "the best" image and message.

The only things you really need for a label is:
Contact
Roster
-Artist
-On Page Music Player
-Artist Specific News Feed
-Artist specific merch
*Possibly a label specific news feed

I've seen people use Bandcamp to run entire labels... Don't limit yourself by waiting for "the best" theme, start designing!
