Those are 2 different types of "music softwares" so it all depends on what you want to do.
If you want to produce your own music, buy ableton.
If you just want to mix (dj) other peoples music, buy traktor.

Ableton will be more powerful as far as music production, but both are geared towards live performances (as Traktor is primarily for mixing, and Ableton has always been a go-to for live production).

Personally I'm going to be random and recommend FL Studio.

Nah its really dependent on the use.

Ableton is a great platform for production, as well as performing, but in a more digital fashion (button pushing).

Traktor is great if you've been spinning on CDJ's and transitioning to digital and still want to mix in a similar fashion.

I personally prefer Ableton, being a producer who is learning to mix, rather than the other way around
