Multiple Wives? serious question

You know, i happened to see this thread, and its very sad to see how biased people are against the concept. The concept of a man having multiple wives, or a long term relationship with 2+ women at once, all of them living together, if not inherently something thats derogatory to women. In fact, YOU DECIDING its "wrong" inherently for the girl, is in and of itself sexist. The girl herself can decide, in the west at least.

Now, as far as "Wife" and "marriage" I dont believe in registering with the state. However, I have had 2 live in long term gf's for many many years. And I can say that with the right girls, and the right man, that having two women in the household is and has an obvious benefit for him, but also MANY benefits for the girl as well.

Helping with tending the house
Cooking
Cleaning
A female to be able to talk to closely and more inimitably than anyone else
A protector when the man may be being unreasonable or upset
And of course, a sister, in the holy crusade of making "their" man happy
Someone to go out with that enjoys going to the same crappy "chick flicks"
And much, much more..

Having a close bond with a sister wife is nothing that anyone should judge for the girl, she needs to judge it herself

Men are hunters and gatherers, and women the support mechanism for them and that. IF a man does his job well, and plays his role, then a female should as well

And before you paint me as all chauvinistic and sexist, I think that in a situation, where a female is the hunter and gatherer, and a man is acting the woman's role, then that she should then be afforded the same. I think it goes against our primal instinctual nature, but, thats a story for another day

Thankfully I'm a good hunter and gatherer.
Bottom line, theres nothing wrong with it done out of love, and it holds VERY strong benefits, if the girl(s) can be well with it.

ps. Everyone is correct. Its certainly a lot of trouble, and not easily done for the man either. Constantly trying to figure out a middle ground between the feelings of 3+ people, and making unpopular decisions for the greater good. Sometimes I've felt like I'm never making the right choices for my family, just always picking the "lesser of two evils". This is not for the faint of heart, and if a man goes into thinking his lifes going to be a living porno, well, thats not true either. Even tag team bj's get tiring after a while.

I wonder if there is a historical reason for Islamic culture to allow multiple wives. Perhaps there was a smaller percentage of men and it was necessary for procreation purposes. Interesting thought...

If the man provides as he should the woman does not need another female to help her as the man will provide for help to do those things. Cost wise I?m sure a maid/cleaning service is going to be cheaper than a second wife.

Budhist do it better. Polyandry (women with multiple husbands) is very common. Tibet is home to the largest and most flourishing polyandrous community in the world today.

Having said that they dont actually believe in marriage, as in its not a sacrament. In some tribes women actually live with their brothers who provide for them and their children.

Anyway, i don't see the point of having multiple wives. Just have multiple girlfriends.

Are we talking about countries where this is legal, or are we talking about bigamy? I had two girlfriends once, that did not know about each other. That was a headache.

How about marrying two bisexual girls instead? I'd go for that. They could even marry each other.

I know a few polygamists and lots of just general poly people... it rarely works out well for all parties.

A hooker is much cheaper than a second wife, You do not pay the hooker for sex you pay her to leave.

Multiple Wives can Make Your life easy and Comfortable it all depends upon you and your Choice

Saying Multiple Wives Increase your Expense is like saying Multiple cars increase your expense yes they do but with that it increases your leisure

Its strange People get multiple Girl friends and justify that but having multiple wives in their opinion increases expense

Multiple wives? LOL. If that's the kind of lifestyle a person wants, then why not FORGET getting married altogether and just play around and do anyone you want?

She can be a great soother
She can be a great scholar
She can be a great cook
She can be a great advisor
She can look stunning differently in different ways
She can give you some great smiles and make you wonder which was the best
She can be a great 'wife'
She can be the source of all your happiness
She can be such a great secretary or a true colleague, of course she can be a great boss for you if only you allow her to be one
She can be stupid many times, but make you laugh in great humor nonetheless, and you'd still love her more while she is at it
Of course she can be a great daughter-in-law to your parents, a great mother to your children, a great grandmother... a great sister-in-law to your brothers and sisters, a great neighbor...

She can still be so charming and dear....

There is no need to 'possess' many wives after all! If someone feels that need, then he doesn't deserve to have even one...
