I think this thread should be closed now. Near impossible to keep the religions away from this thread.

And btw, OP asked if anyone's wife was okay with the proposal/concept of marrying more than once at the same time.
 
Depending on the culture multiple wives does not always mean a headache. In cultures where woman have voices and rights like here in the US. Of course their attitudes towards marriage and being with someone is completely different.

However in other countries... Woman have to jump through hoops.
 
Convert to Islam you mean but anyway Islam has strict conditions if you want multiple wives it has strict conditions if you want one wife there are so many duties and responsibilities of the husband but anyway dont judge any religion by the way the people now practice it. Why? Because people now are becoming corrupted and doing what they want even if its contrary to their religion, corrupted people and pure religions just wont mix properly again sorry for another religious post but it had to be said. Most likely a man who has multiple wives is following his desires, in the bad sense ie sex objects, and using religion as a supposed cover up or reason.

Marriage is a needless institution. The idea of quantifying an interpersonal relationship in a form of a legal document is ludicrous and unusual. The more optimal option is having multiple cohabiting girlfriends. However it should be noted that a multi-peer relationship is not for the weak at heart and requires that everyone involved fulfills their role admirably and to the best of their ability. Most men can't handle this and falter to the insurmountable power of the vagina.

You also have to consider acquiring the financial resources to maintain such a lifestyle. Shower your housemates with gifts and attention and there will be no room for jealousy.
 
man it s not eazy not even for muslims the ladu gotta accept it if she doesnt then yr second marriage is a sin so nowdays it s hard to find a wife who can allow having a second one good luck with that one unless the first wife cant have kids or something

this is one of worst posts you wrote , slavery not expected and legal in any culture nowadays , in our real life we face
serious cases that need more than one wife for some men like wars where's the men killed more than women and a lot
of women stay without husbands , or if the wife sterile and her husband love her and she love him but he want children
in this case we can't say go to divorce and another wife is the best option in this case .... there's a ton of cases , btw
Islam allow that only if the husband can be fair with all wives and for most men this is seem impossible .......

Since you brought it up, you're right, slavery is not legal anymore, but it is a far worse problem now than it was five hundred years ago.

Having a baby with another woman because the wife is sterile is a horrible thing to do to the sterile wife. That's not a man of character and loyalty, nor is it someone a woman should be with. If the woman was able to divorce, the man would be thrown out. Just because a woman says she's okay with it doesn't mean she is. What other choice does she have but to grin and bear it? If she tries to leave, she could be killed. Or shunned. Or destitute. A woman is already going through hell when she finds out that she can't bear children. Her pain is great. She needs a supportive man who will stand by her and help her get through it. I know a woman whose husband left her because she couldn't have children. He refused to adopt or use a surrogate. This woman had a good job and was loaded. She paid for a surrogate mother, used her own eggs, went to the sperm bank, and the surrogate carried the babies. The woman has two sons. Her ex husband has been divorced three times. No woman wants to stay with him because he is bad. He showed his true colors by leaving his first wife because she couldn't have children. He was not a man of character or loyalty. He was a snake.
