hey fellow BHW's. if anyone can have an answer for me, it's gonna be the blackhatters.
took over seo for my lawyer's website as a favor, about 6 months ago. didn't know anything about seo so it's been quite a ride for the past half year. ordered a fiverr of crappy links, and even rented a pr5 link for it (which i promptly cancelled after a month because it produced no results).
after a few months or so i got him ranked #1 for "lawyer mount clemens" which i was proud of. thought, "i can start my own business with seo," so i started building my own site.
two weeks ago my lawyers website disappeared from the search results overnight. no longer #1, not ANYWHERE in the results. if i do a site:hiswebsite search his pages are listed, but that's the ONLY way to pull it up on google. even if i type the header tag exactly he won't show up. if i search "his business name" in quotes he still won't even come up! wtf. i chalked it up to google finding that pr5 link i bought and double checked that the guy didn't just leave it up on his page. it wasn't there. what can you do, i moved on.
last night i checked on my new (two weeks old) web marketing website and found i was #1 for "web marketing metro detroit" (which was my first keywords to rank for - super easy) and was quite happy about it. went on facebook and said, "look what i did." a lot of "good job" comments followed. when i woke up this morning i was bombarded with comments like, "what site is yours?" and "it's not there!" so i checked it out... i've been blacklisted (overnight!) just the same as my lawyer's website! no results for anything. no warning. site:mysite shows i'm still in google, but even if i put "my business name" in quotes i get nothing! my first thought was, "oh no! i've linked my site to my lawyers on the bottom of his!" but i checked and i didn't even put a link on the bottom of his, therefore i'm not linked to him in any way. i've done no spam linking for my domain in any way. checked google webmasters for crawl errors etc. and everything's good in regards to that.
have you experienced this before?
could it be some competition is singling me out and spamming out my domains?
can you suggest other things to try?
what's gonna happen with my domains?
wtf!!!
