Multiple Questions From A Beginner

Hey all I'm new to affiliate marketing, I have a couple questions:

What you would recommend to someone who wants to get into affiliate but has no audience yet? Should I hold off on affiliate and spend time building one on a platform of choice? Or are there ways to build an audience & have affiliate links simultaneously?

Is it realistic to expect $2000/mo profit within my first 6 months? I'm in a first world country, I'm a fast learner w/ good pattern recognition. I have all the time to spend on it as well.

Also, I've seen a guy called PeterPeptides on tiktok. Im super interested in his affiliate scheme and would want to try it myself in another niche. can anyone add insight on if it's a good idea?

Sorry for all the questions, I'm starving to learn and make some money!

Build a digital asset such as a website, taht meets a need. I don't recommend a blog, blogs are old tech, better off looking for an IWA (interactive Web Applications) to build. They are more viral, and can bring you more traffic.

No. would you expect to be an olympic athelete after 6 months? Same thing. This shit takes years of success and failure.

No. I seen many courses before. And nobody tells you that simply, you need your own personal assets, and then you need to spend time marketing those assets for free and paid. You don't need any course. You just need failure and work.

no it's not a course. it's a tiktok account that makes 'educational' content around peptides to push aff links. I was curious if his general strategy is effective and can be transferred to other niches.

Whatever, lol don't change the subject, and run away "watching" and "learning" when you should be working, and putting projects together. This takes hours. Many people think that when they come here, they can go from learning one thing, for an hour, to suddenly in a few months having a viable business. Sure go learn. But everything comes back to your own digital asset portfolio. If you don't have that, you ain't got shit to sell or generate traffic with.

As a beginner I have no idea how to build a good digital asset, and im not sure where to look for that education. do you have any resources? You mentioned an IWA, but I had never heard of it before, and I would have no idea how to get started with one.

I don't have a predictable income, and if I am going to be putting all my effort into it, I want a timeline of when i can start to see money come in. If I can't make money within a certain timeframe I will have no choice but to look for a job.
 
If you’re just starting, focus on building an audience first, content and trust come before links. You can drop affiliate offers here and there, but without traffic it won’t move much. $2000/month in 6 months is ambitious; possible, but usually takes longer unless you hit the right niche fast. Best bet: pick one platform, stay consistent, and grow authority before expecting big numbers.

if you don't mind sharing, I would love to know how you got started and your journey in affiliate. do you have any advice that you wish you knew at my level?
 
i think you should look for a job and try this on the side. businesses take alot of time to learn, and this will not be your only try. you will need an income from the job to support you. also, your job is likely in a profitable business and you can learn from your job how the business is run. usually whatever side projects you try will be related to your work because thats where you have knowledge, skill and experience.

i think i would have learnt much faster if i taken up a job together with all my side projects, instead of focusing on my side projects without work experience.

each of these projects you try will teach you something new. its probably not enough but you should try anyway. after enough tries, you will know enough for some of these projects to work

I started out pretty simple, picked one niche and stuck with it instead of jumping around. At first I wasted a lot of time trying too many things at once. What I wish I knew earlier is that traffic takes longer to build than you expect, so don’t get discouraged when it feels slow. Stay consistent, test offers, and double down when something shows signs of working.
 
At the moment, starting without a daily source of income will be very difficult, especially if you’re new, because that can make you discouraged quickly. Any job requires an investment of time and effort. I think to begin, you first need to make sure you have stable income along with confidence, because everyone starts from zero. But keep in mind, you shouldn’t sign up for any paid course right away — you should start learning from YouTube, since all the knowledge is already there and completely free.
 
Same boat here — I’m also stuck on this: What do you do when you want to start affiliate marketing… but your audience is “too small” to get approved?
 
Honestly, treat the first 6 months like training camp. Learn traffic, test offers, build content. If money comes in, cool, but don’t pressure yourself with a number goal. Once you find what clicks, scaling to $2k gets way easier.
 
I found that sharing personal stories in your niche made affiliate links feel natural, and that converted way better than pushing products blindly
