Multiple niche good for blogging?

Hi guys,

My main blog currently is writing about Tech and i have another blog which is about travel. Travel blog didn't proceed much traffic and i'm thinking to merge it with my main blog. Then i don't need to pay for hosting & domain renewal fee.

Is it good if my blog have multiple niche? If i just create categories for travel post, will it affect my main blog traffic?

I read article from others blogger and they not advice to have multiple niche in 1 blog. Any idea why?

Tech and travel can sit side by side, think of digital nomads as an example.

If you do have multiple niches, ensure you silo it well. There are very good guides on bhw which will help you understand and implement. However, Silo is used for authority websites where there are multiple sub-niches.

Thanks for reply. I'm doing blog with Chinese content, how you guys think about chinese blogging? Is it worth in market? Sounds like everyone are targeting US traffic cause of higher paid.

The niches you have chosen to combine look just right. It's not difficult to come up with content that can let you hit your target.

I think it could work, depending on your approach and the time you invest.

"Tech" is everywhere, Fintech, Meditech, Biotech, Agrotech, (I could go on).

I'm sure there's a large community keen on "Traveltech"!

Indeed. This is especially true because millennials are among the most frequent travelers nowadays and they, too, are the most frequent ones to use tech products.
