any link on your site need/should be something that rewards you either with money or traffic. anything else is called traffic leaks.

Your openness and honesty is refreshing I totally agree there. We all start somewhere and I would rather see someone being honest about it and sharing their experience vs some of the Bs that gets tossed around on a daily basis. Trial and error is key, as I see it you used the last month to test the waters, the fact you made anything while doing so is a positive step not a bad at all. From this point you can refine your approch and hopefully find what works best for you.

Thank you, hugedood! I plan on making a thread for each month, recounting what I did to make money, and to not make money. I'm planning on learning from my experiences, and after a year, I hope to compile everything into an ebook, but not sell it on DP, rather give it out.
 
I don't want to piss on your parade and all but I see that you made most of your money from selling physical stuff on Amazon. I am sure you sold them for a loss from what you paid for it and it can not be done again. You can't sell your GPS again.

I am just curious to know how you'll get from almost $0 to $4000 in April, unless you sell everything in your house on amazon.

I would definetely like to know what your plan is. And as others have mentioned earlier you took action and that's what counts.
 
To oodaveb: This may all be true, however I do have counterarguments. You see, I bought almost all of the DVD's I sold FROM Amazon. They have DVD's that are on sale for one penny, plus $2.98 shipping. I sold all of my movies for over a dollar, and was given the shipping credit. I may not be able to sell my GPS or my DVD's but I CAN sell GPS's and DVD's for profit.

I don't plan on selling everything in my house. I don't have many things in my house at all. What I do have are ideas, and I am going to use them, along with advice given from fellow members of the forum, and I will tweak them so to suit my ideas. My plans are to up my CPA input, and possibly make more profit from methods that can be automated and let be.
 
My blog for some reason has gotten three times the hits today of any other day. And its not hits by blackhatworld or anonymizeit...

hwolfpack: I spent maybe fifty bucks on the baseballs. And another sixteen on one hundred DVD packing cases, which were perfect to hold the baseballs as well.
 
Why don't you remove the top bar on your blog to prevent it from getting flagged? Also, why not use feedmyinbox to get more RSS feeds than just google news?

Instead of hoping not to get banned, wouldn't be better to play by the rules and build a more secure source of income? I've been down that road for a long time and everything has to be re-build because you get banned and/or run out of places.. and since I switched to a "play by the rules" methods, I make somewhat less, but I'm not affraid I'll lose it!

Also, sometime, you think you'll get paid $1000 and you end off not being paid at all, so I'm not even sure I'm making less net profit at the end of the month than if I was trying to play them!

You are correct about the play-by-the-rules method. However, Amazon and eBay have hundreds of thousands of sellers who play by the rules and make nothing. I would rather have a risky way of making money and just create a new account than to try to make money using pure whitehat. These two websites are full of ways to bend the rules without breaking them. Its just finding what these rules are through trial-and-error that is the difficult and disheartening part.

I know the make-money-don't-get-paid story. It happens to me all the time. Hence all of my sources of income. If one fails or I get caught or banned or whatever, I have something to fall back on and focus my pursuits on.

well, not all post in here are for black hat techniques! I came here through Doug post "How I make $15,000 a month" and his method is legit all the way down and people loved it!

Anyways, I'm not saying you should not do it, I've done it for years!
 
You're right, seoniche :) not all posts are blackhat techniques. Legit does work, but takes time to garner respect and trust within buyer markets.
 
Sometimes, a mix of the 2 works best!

The real money maker could be a legit site and use black hat techniques on satellite site to boost the money make site :) That way, you get to keep your accounts and profit from blackhat techniques!

I gotta agree with you FreeTheTV, legit does take more time to get rollin' and sometime, it wouldn't even pick up and that's why it can benefit from other techniques..

So what you're saying is basically this?: set up a legitimate site on a legitimate network, yet use blackhat methods to promote it and make money fmor it, since the BH methods ON the site will not cause the site to be shut down if banned, unless the promotional company is affiliated itself with the hosting company, e.g. Google = Blogger = AdSense. AdSense banned, Blogger notified.
