One more question. I purchased some electronic gadgets recently and I also asked some questions to the sellers. I got an email back where the seller actually said they were BOTH "xxx" and "xxxx" seller. Wow. Each account had over 10,000 feedback scores so they are very established and have been around for a while. Is this actually allowed? I didn't know you were allowed to have more than 1 ebay selling account? Or is there a catch where only certain people are allowed to do it (such as if you make a large amount of sales, etc.?).

I would like to make another selling account or two but I don't think that's allowed and might get all my accounts banned then. Anyone can clear this up?

Its perfectly fine. I think you didn't even bother to Google it lol

On eBay you can have as many accounts as you want. eBay itself confirms this. All you need to open a new eBay account is a separate email address. You can safely use the same name, address and contact information. All you need is a separate e-mail account.

What you should be aware of though, is that all these accounts will be interlinked by eBay and that’s bad news. In practice this means that if one of your accounts get suspended/banned, the others will be closed shortly afterwards because from eBay’s point of view you will have become too much of a risk as a seller.

I operate 100s of ebay/paypal accounts and keep activity going on all of them.

You can have as many as you need as long as you know how to operate them.

It's allowed as long as you are not trying to get around the account and category limits. For example, if you have a 10 item limit in fine jewelry category and list 10 fine jewelry items, opening a new account and listing fine jewelry items will get you banned.

For practical selling purposes, it's better to just create stealth accounts because all accounts you open with same info will be linked and they will all go down if one gets limited.

I contacted them 2 months ago they said that you can open up to 8 ebay accounts with one paypal account

I have 2 active ebay accounts, and i often buy stock with one account from Chinese sellers on ebay and then sell them locally with my other ebay account, I have 2 different paypal accounts linked to the accounts though. How things are going to work when these new CC card payments come in to replace Paypal remains to be seen.

It's always been allowed. It's usually very obvious when a seller has two accounts. I've seen two different usernames with identical items, pictures, and pricing sell something from the same location.

Despite the fact that offering utilizing numerous records is permitted, there are some imperative things to comprehend about eBay and the utilization of various records. For example, under eBay's standards: Identification must be particular. Each eBay account must have a novel vender ID and email address.

its allowed. but its always recommended that you dont do it.. its recommended that you create several STEALTH accounts. that way theres no linkage. if one account goes down, you still have your other stealth accounts :)
