Multiple Domains

Long story short, I now have about 100 domain names that all relate to my 4 main sites. I bought them years ago in hopes of creating multiple entry points with more info on each domain and then pointing to the main sites. Now that this is considered black hat seo, what is the best thing to do with the domain names? I'm really new to this and only now am getting time to get into SEO after trying for years to find the time.

Woulda been better off going with free Web 2.0's IMO. Now, I would just try and update as many as you can, but try and cut your losses while maximizing your time and profits (if any).

I'm not sure what that means... free Web 2.0's. And are you suggesting that if I just had some data on each as a site, and links to the main site it might be ok? Sorry, really lost here, but I will learn. Thanks!

You can still set up sites there that link to your money site. Throw some content up and build links to those domains instead of your main site. I think that is the same thing that webslingers is saying except using web 2.0 is free since you do not have to pay for the extra domains.

So would it be beneficial to put some content on the page(s) and link to the main site? Lost...

If you legally have those domain then you can start work with it.
It will not be illegal if you keep your contents unique and also does not have any relations with copyright things.

That's the effective way to go. HOWEVER, please read around a bit, so you get a better idea of what "some content" means in the context of the G search engine algorithm changes. Try not to create websites that are too thin, or that only point to your sites, or both.

i think the best use of the domains is to sell
In the auction sites if you get good bids then don't think anything. Just sell them.

That's where I need to focus my reading. Any links would help, but I appreciate the pointer.

Definitely "building" the sites and sending the links to your sites will work. But as said, don't link only to your sites, make it look as real sites as any other. If you don't want to spend energy on that, futurestic06's idea is the best to go for.
