Hi, I have created ten different websites that each target different "cousin keywords." That is, if one website is targeting variations of how to play guitar, the others are targeting rock and roll guitar guide, or bass guitar lessons, or learn to play electric guitar. I have signed up to a hosting plan with seohosting and am using different shared ip addresses for each of these websites. Is it theoretically possible to rank each of these websites with this plan or should I have created ten different accounts with ten different hosting companies just to be sure?

    Sure it's possible.
What I'm doing is I have one main site say on "rock and roll" or "Guitar" and it would be the money site, and cover every single aspect. Then the other domains are targeting the smaller keywords, like you said, bass guitar lessons, etc. I'm going to do a bit of interlinking with the sub sites, but then each one will link to the money site.

The sub domains are EMD. So not only am I brining in traffic to the sub domains, I link to the money site, and give it quality link backs.

But I treat each sub site as a money site. I make them quality sites, quality design, and do proper link building on each one. It will take several months to be completed, but I think it will pay off in the end.

I currently have about 40 sub sites up now. Each site averages about 100 visiotrs per day, so that's roughly 4000 daily visitors I can direct to my money site.
About 30 of them are in the top 5 for the targeted keyword. And I just slowly link build to each site, all quality links, no blasts or anything.

My money site gets about 3,000 visitors a day, this is an aged domain I've had and has been my money site since 2001. Most traffic is direct and long tail words, I don't really rank high in any top keywords, so I'm trying to change that. I'm currently 16 for the main keyword which gets 150k exact per month. I want to get it to top 5, and I should really get some good traffic going.

in terms of specifically setting up your ip addresses, did you use a version of seo hosting by host gator which only has about three servers or so but a plethora of different c classes, or did you register each domain with a different host company?

I have one two seo hosting accounts. One with 20 one with 10.
Rest are all on different hosts.
Same registar but all have privacy.

I'm not too worried, every single site is a quality site. There are some which are harder to have a lot of pages, but my smallest site is 3 pages, which is the only one with 3 pages, the rest are 4+ pages, some with 6,7,8 pages.

I have about 5 different templates I use. I change the colors, widths, make nice logos, add images to the articles, etc.

A couple of the sites are bringin in 400-600 visitors per day.
One 13 page site has about 6-7 pages in the top 10. Going to try and bring them all to #1.

I have a competitor who has done something similar, and his content is absolute crap. A lot of duplicate content, 3 page website, same template.
And he just has a "links" page, and puts about 100 links on it to his other sites. And they are all ranked pretty high. I don't know how that hasn't been banned yet. So I'm trying to catch up.
