Multi Language site on 2 domains or 1 with plugin?

I have been testing a little around with qTranslate the only WP plugin I could found that should work. However, there are so many errors in there that I consider simply to buy the country domain for the secnd language and copy the site and translate it.

Is that's OK in SEO point of view? or will I get dublicated content or similar issues?

In all my tests the result is alot better with a separate domain / site for another language target. So far i havent had any problems with dup content but i also linked those sites together using the language option so that g would notice that i simply offer the same stuff for different language speakers.

Totally ok. I even worked for a company who had 2 identical pages for different countries (Ukraine and Russia were both in russian) and it worked fine along with their .us .bg .kz domains

You can distinguish two sites of different languages by using domains with the name of a specified language at the start of URL. It'll be beneficial and easier task for you. For example:en.name.domain/page Its for englishch.name.domain/page Its for chinese.

I'm currently playing around with this as well. I tried plugins at first, but they were abysmal. What I'm planning on doing now is creating a subdomain for the Spanish version of the site (es.site.com) and working with my client's employee to translate the English content to Spanish.
