Hey all,
I run a couple of Amazon affiliate sites that are making me an OK amount of monthly income but I'd like to start using other affiliate schemes than just Amazon. We can't count on Amazon not to drop their affiliate rates again.
What I'd really like to do is something similar to what sites like WhatHiFi, TomsGuide and TechRadar do, which is have a header with key information and then links to a few sites for the same product on a few sites, like the below. Now looking at those sites I'm guessing they are actually run by the same company and use a custom tool to do this on their CMS.
I'm currently putting the affiliate links to a few sites next to my products but I'd really love to include the price and have it updated for Amazon and other affiliate programs. This would incentivize people to choose the non-Amazon links if they were cheaper. I'm aware of WordPress plugins that do this for Amazon and perhaps eBay such as AAWP.
I was wondering whether anyone is aware of any WordPress plugins that would do regular checks of the price of products from Amazon and is able to be extended with other affiliate programs? Basically AAWP but for more than just Amazon. I'm assuming it would be a little bit of custom code for each new site, which would be fine as long as the framework was there.
In all honesty, I'm expecting the answer to be "No" but it seems like something that plenty of people would want and I'm sure some entrepreneurial developer must have given this a shot at some point.
