.mts file into Camtasia? Help!

Hey guys,

So i purchases a sony cybershot camera and just shot some videos but the damn file format is .mts and camtasia doesnt support that for editting!

Any ideas on what i can use to convert it?

I checked the camtasia site and both links to softwares they reccomend dont work :S

Seems to work OK'ish but the audio and video are completely out of sync :S Now im really confused...

Anyone got any ideas?

MTS format is, if I'm right, a kind of container.
It can't be used as is it.

You'll need to convert the MTS to AVI, MP4, ...
Some software like Adobe Premiere Pro who auto-converts when acquire video from camera.

To convert videos I use AVS Video Converter.

Ive tried 4 different formats and different settings in each and for some reason the audio and video are way off :S yet when i play it normally (on my camera or pc) both are fine!

Very strange...

It may be just an impression...
I know that with huge video files (HD 1080, 2K, ...) audio and video can be desynchronized while playback.
But all is fine in reality, just a playback issue.

Don't know if I'm off topic or not...

Use the software that came with the camera. If no software came with it then that camera must be pretty shit. You should be able to covert this format into MP4. Make sure you fully update your audio/video codecs. Sometimes that could solve the sync issue.
